I agree. Why can't anyone say who owns the land? That should be a very simple question to answer. Seeing that no-one every says then there MUST BE a huge coverup in play.
How could a fine like this even make it into a Draft bill. When was the draft written 1980?
Our government (past and present) is like a terrible comedian - you laugh at first, to give them support, then eventually you boo the bastard off the stage.
As a parent of 2 young kids I say take the parents into custody until the children are found. Either they know where the kids are and are not saying or the children will hear about the parents being 'locked up' until the kids turn themselves in.
What the hell is going on when our immigration department can't say if they have someone in custody and where that person is being held. They are unnecessarily difficult.
If this vaccine is so good and important to opening our country, why not remove all restrictions for vaccinated people (i.e. no curfew, no masks etc.?).
Most businesses have cut well over 10% of their staff in the last year - probably closer to 50% on average. Although 700 jobs is a big number to swallow, especially in the size economy we have, as a percentage it's not bad.
The other problem for a DNA led government is that our senior civil service is so full of mostly PLP crony air breathers that government agencies will simply stop working in protest. It will take months if not years to clean all of the waste out of civil service while it is ground to a halt. This will be highly frustrating for all and expensive to pay out these dead beat crooks to stay home. I do note that the FNM are at least cleaning up the Mortgage Corporation but that is only the tippy top of the tip of the iceberg.
That amount sounds about right to me but as a 'households' monthly income - one would hope that a household is made up of two parents - which we know if rarely the case here. Again, family planning has destroyed what could be a workable amount of income. Unfortunately, because we don't have many 'family's' in the Bahamas there is the need for the tather(s) to pay their own rent plus contribute to the mother's(s) rent and child(ren) rearing expenses.
