All valid points to which I fully agree. Unfortunately having laws and rules such as these in place won't help at all. We have rules for the road, which are much easier to enforce, and these are barely enforced. Take the requirement for insurance - every person I know has stories about getting into car accidents with uninsured people with no penalty handed out to the uninsured driver - they just walk away.
A good friend got into a head on collision with a kid driving his mother's uninsured car. The police knew the other family and refuse to file a report - almost 4 months now.

There's nothing to add up. One day a week 900 people will show up to Briland - that's it! Hundreds used to show up every day off of the Bohingi. 900 is not that great a number.
I not a fan of cruise ship passengers but to say the island can't accommodate 900 people in one day is not true. The argument made in below posts are far better arguments against the cruise.

Damn! If the Chairman doesn't know what the status is then obviously he organization doesn't have any say whatsoever about choosing a candidate. And all this time I thought the Constituency Association were the ones organizing the voting.

They don't have infrastructure for 900 day guests? During regatta i'm pretty sure more than that show up for the entire long weekend? Something doesn't add up.

So I take it the receivers are still going after CCA for the amount owed? Or are they just going to go after Sarkis for the full amount and only if he wins?

Perhaps we should have a couple police patrols in these areas? I mean, I saw one police car this morning into work and it's the first one I've seen this week.
However, I do pass dozens of COVID police cars each and every day. Perhaps we can have them do patrols for the regular police?

One day our government schools will be ready to receive students in a safe and attractive environment. Just not today. Or tomorrow... or next year. I am 50 now, and should live to see 100. My wish is that I will see at least one decent government school before I go.

I think it fair to assume that roughly 50% aren't compliant. How did I come up with 50%? Approximately 50% of the population are PLP and we know they never pay their fair share.
