Smith will soon be arguing that the people housed in shelters are now the rightful owners of those shelters. What a crazy thought process Smith has.

Bam!! There it is. Glad they listened to you.

**The relative also said: “He never kill anyone; he may (have) kept company with maybe the wrong people, but not because you keep company with the wrong people - I could keep company with someone who smokes but I don’t smoke.”**

What is this person really saying? He never killed anyone but...?

This ignorant mentality is what is destroying us from the inside.

Isn't that what church is, a place to gather to worship? Why gather to worship if it's not to be seen to be doing so? Is praying as a group more powerful than praying at home?

The humanitarian crisis that we face is mostly an illegal immigrant humanitarian crisis. We could better house and care for everyone if we weren't swarmed by illegal immigrants. How can a country plan for a humanitarian catastrophe when not all of its residents stand up to be counted? How can you plan to safely shelter your citizens and residents when thousands flee from bushes at the 11th hour running for safety?
How can so many people from another country care so little for the very country that they are fleeing to? How can people care so little for their family's own well being that they continue to breed even though they can't afford it? How can a mother and father not care to house their family in safe and sanitary conditions?
And for those of you who simply say that we should legalize them all, do you even know how many there are? Can you even give a maximum number that we should make legal? Is 10,000 too much? What about 50,000... 100,000?

I assume that only documented and legally immigrated people will be allowed to live in these tents? They seriously can't be considering putting up tents from known illegals??

Will Justice Cheryl Grant-Thompson be responsible for paying for the memorial? If she let the government do what was right, and clear out these unsafe settlements, then many lives could have been spared.
At any memorial ceremony to be had, Mrs. Grant-Thompson should be allowed to speak so that she can clear her conscience. She must feel terrible!!!

It's hard to argue your point. I wish I could though... but I can't.

I prefer to argue with Mr. Smith but unfortunately now he is on to something. Our laws should be in place for instances like this. Equinor should have already had a clean up crew here and we should be receiving status updates. I would have expected to hear by now just how many gallons of oil was spilled and how many gallons have already been retrieved in the clean up effort.
There should be fines in place for every day after an all clear is given that the clean up has not begun. I think $1million a day after 3 days is a good starting point? Maybe $5million a day???
We should only be dealing with companies organized enough to shrug at these amounts because they know that they can have clean up crews in place within 24 hours of a spill.
We should also have bonds in place for big companies like this so that we have funds in hand to start a clean up if they choose not to. After all property developers here in Nassau have to put up like a $1million bond which the government holds until the development is completed. Why don't we do the same with these big industries?
