Yup! I'll be damned if I EVER see a police car on my drive in to work or my drive home. 30 minutes each way and no cop in sight. In Florida one just needs to pull out of their hotel and before they reach the traffic light they would have seen a police car. Laws without enforcement is just a waste of ink!
So true. Everyday our once glorious Bay Street looks more and more like a Turkish side street market; but instead of selling rugs and spices etc. they are aggressively hustling to sell some miracle skin regenerator or some shiny silver(?) jewelry. The one or two tourists you see actually walking into those stores must be spending a *fortune* because it's not easy covering the $10k a month rent, $8k a month electricity and $20k a month in salaries. Products must be flying off those shelves or... there must be a **HUGE** markup on the dozen or so pieces they sell each week.
Bingo!! This is one time we truly do need to call in true experts. I'm sure the Netherlands has a functioning group of members that monitor all aspects of marijuana usage, from tourism to policing to medical to taxes. I'm sure the current members or past members would be more than happy to fly down here and sit with the government and do a town hall.
