They need to move the straw market over the hill where the vendors belong. They simply don't understand what it takes to keep the building clean and sanitary. They don't care if the building is rat infested or smells of urine and is not maintained; that's normal; that's their standard.
Sorry but I don't see much of which Leonard is talking about, as working to our benefit. Bahamian products being validated and certified by the WTO. Didn't know they did this and even if they do, the cost i'm sure would be prohibitive for our small farmers. Any higher costs would make Bahamian products even less attractive to buy.
I bet you on 'survey day' that these homes will have 1/10th of the normal population. And, children, especially babies, will be passed around from backdoor to backdoor. Babies will be pinched so that the evil surveyors will see how 'hungry' they are. Woe is me!!!
I like fast food; it is a great way to cull the many gluttonous among us. The weak are supposed to die out. Why we try to save everyone from their own devices and weaknesses is beyond me. When the poorest and most gluttonous among us either die out or start making better decisions in life then fast food will die out as well.

Rent in there should be much higher so that it doesn't attract the vagrants who have stalls in their now.
