Not sure where how an income tax here would help level the playing field when it doesn't do it in most other countries. Actually I can't think of one country where Income/Corporate taxes alone does the trick.
Do you mean black slavery or the beginning of slavery way-way back with the Egyptians and before Christ? Just wondering where your headed with this all-or-nothing arguement.
This rate is still a drop in the bucket for the people who anchor there. First of all it still isn't enough to even recoup the cost of putting the mooring down and maintaining it. Second, the people that frequent the area spend that much just taking out all of their boats from **inside** their yacht. Many of these people are spending five to ten thousand a day just on food, staff and fuel. I don't think that $100 a day for a secure mooring in one of the best anchorages in the world is going to sway them.
The Taxi Union has got to GO! They are a barbaric, ancient bunch of ignorants! I'm speechless trying to respond to these imbeciles. Where does one start in an argument when the person on the other side is so blinded in ignorance and hell bent on maintaining their mafia styled ways?
I keep telling ya'll, just go to the Haitian Embassy here and they will print you off a Bahamian passport within the hour. They got more blank Bahamian passports than our immigration office.
Did we at least work out a deal where we can buy gas from them at a reduced rate or will we still need to import their gas after they have exported it elsewhere (kind of like our supermarket crawfish)?
The old post office should be demolished and a hotel built there. Great Views of the entire Island, direct walk down to Bay Street, Queens Staircase. The top floor should be a bar/restaurant. Would attract many cruise ship passengers for the view.

Can someone please lock this criminal up??? If they took away his proceeds of crime years ago he wouldn't have two shillings to rub together.
