If Smith doesn't like that the emergency travel document correctly states Haitian, then he should urge his client not to use the document! By using the document he is accepting the document.
The Haitian constitution confirms that Jean-Rory Jean-Charles is Haitian - *possibly* born in The Bahamas.
Anton Sauders (Chairman), Dave Smith, Anethera Bowleg, Michela Barnett-Ellis, Claretta Duncombe, Gina Sweeting-Moss, Theresa Mortimer, Charles Sealy, Edison Sumner, Gene Albury and Geoffrey Stuart (together the Board of Directors). Had better make some hard and sensible decisions while in office. If this scheme is not righted in the next few years we will be calling on you guys to anti-up and/or go to jail.
This will most likely have a negative impact on about 350,000 Bahamians, and a positive impact for about 60,000 illegal Haitians living in The Bahamas, and +10,000,000 Haitians trying to get to The Bahamas.
9 months in and nothing has gotten better. The ONLY saving grace is that it hasn't gotten worse, which it definitely would have if Perry and his bandits got back in. Minnis better get this ship moving soon because I am certainly ready to get my ass back on Parliament Square. minnis - you are quickly running out of time. our patience is wearing thin!!!
"I am wondering did we make a mistake on May 10th?"
No we didn't. First off, we didn't have a choice. It was either Minnis or Perry. Clearly Perry wasn't even an option - like zero. Face it, Minnis was the ONLY option we had. Now we just need to steer him in the right direction by shouting loudly and consistently.
And that's if we started now... which you know ain't gonna happen. We got probably 25-30 years until we get a graduation class we can be proud of. BUT that still means that the vast majority of everyone over 20 at that time will most likely be total morons AND running the country. We may have already reached the threshold where, like in the animal kingdom, a species cannot recover.

They are not suing the FNM they are suing the government. The FNM won't have to pay this bill, the people of The Bahamas will be paying this.
