Does the Industrial Agreement actually make reference to the union members being able to use a "withdrawal of enthusiasm" to express their objections, or would that be an illegal move on the part of the union?
Plus I'm not at all sure if anyone would notice any difference in the workers attitudes if they withdrew their enthusiasm, as government employees don't usually show any sort of enthusiasm, ever!
They will hire 2 security guards for the front gate (1 per 8 hour shift). One Bahamian to sweep the sand and dirt that builds up next to the side walks. One lunch lady (with truck) and a disher-upper to help her. Am I missing anyone??? Nope. I think that's it. At least it's more people than they hired when they built the car park (I only saw a security guard and the street sweeper guy).
Of course they are closing. Nobody goes in the store to buy anything. They have at least 3 foreign managers working there and a few Bahamians. There were 5 cruise ships in that day and the store didn't make one sale in the hour+ (lunchtime) that I watched.
For Puck's sake Minnis, get that guy on the left of the picture (whatever his name is) to at least get the debris out of the water and secure the wreck. Don't tell me you are going to wait for the *previous* owner to come down. Once that wreck settled in The Bahamas then we own it. clean it up!!!!

You're thinking like a sensible person. Try thinking like a union leader or member.
