Andrew, I recall the FNM saying that they will 'sell' Baha Mar not 'resell'. The reasoning being, in my humble opinion, that at the time the public was not convinced an actual sale had taken place. At the time, Christie kept saying the details will be forthcoming and they never were. Based on Christie's many lies leading up to that point the general public did not believe anything that came out of his mouth. In fact, I thought, and still believe, that the 'sale' will take place AFTER the SLS hotel is completed. An agreement to purchase is not a sale.
A 10% cut is a good start and I am happy with it... for now. What I really look forward to is the savings we will see once sensible contracts are issued and the work that is contracted for is actually done. Can you imagine if the people who are paid to maintain government buildings and to maintain BEC generators and clean parks and beaches and to manage the dump and to build government houses actually did what they are paid to do? WOW what a thought! BAMSI for instance would be a world class venture attracting people and scientists from around the world. But what we got is similar to a dilapidated 2 acre farm with no machinery, livestock, seedlings which is surrounded on all sides by toxic industry, for $80 million and counting.
Whoever is in charge at the RBDF for organizing this should be held in to contempt of court for not only wasting the courts time but also for the additional pain and suffering of the family. Not being prepared for a well known court date is the same as telling the judge 'screw you, we don't take this case seriously'.
'Not easy' - more like impossible. You old guard can NEVER be trusted again. Scared Davis, you need to get out of the way just to give the PLP a glimmer of hope.
