this affair validated a few things 1. no good deed goes unpunished 2. in future, the alreafy short list of volunteers will be shorter. 3. in this bahamaland, no opportunity to cast aspersions on the integrity of another is missed.
there will always be skepticism over statements by govt on everything bevause they never provide data for independent verifcation. its always "the minister said" and we are supposed to trust it.
the filling of gas cylinders is a catch 22 that needs attention. having citizens take their cylinders to gladstone for filling is hazardous but filling at the residence, while convenient, is also hazardous. i guess blowing up buildings and the chance of killing people is a risk we have to accept.
Two options here... question the previous data which may have understated the level of joblessness or do it the Trump way and trash this latesr data as bogus and fake.
I"m not sure why the hysyeria. they can't enter unless they have a bahamian visa. once their business is done, you ensure they leave. is the fear that we cant track them once they are here? Gov't needs to be careful with this.. US Gov't now using economic pressure to have their way, so we are vulnerable. besides, what other non-first world country you know whose citizens can enter US using a police certificate? stop that and half the bahamas cant travel.
i think the burdened taxpayers would like more details not just the end result. i recall former PM Minnis crying about the accident prone RBDF and i assume he knows why he made his statement at the time.
i'm not sure a UB degree would be worth the paper its written on outside the country without some kind of internationally recognized accreditation. how is this any different from ISO standards for business? Strachan shouldn't let nationalist views cloud good judgement.
