We shouldnt be comforted by assurances that future budget deficits will come down.. so long as there is a deficit, it means the debt is still rising.. so a financial crisis is not a if, but more a when. What is equally concerning is a large portion of this debt will create nothing.. its handouts and debt servicing.

I agree with Davis on this.. Employers must have the right to determine the conditions for anyone who works at their establishment. this denies nobody their rights.. the employees choice is exercised when they decide if business 'X' is where they want to work. You have no right to be employed anywhere, you just decide if the place fits your values or if their rules gel with what you are prepared to accept.

Their concerns are legitimate. But lets face the facts, testing proves nothing except your status at time of testing. Everyone entering the country must be negative according to PCR testing yet we have had numerous cases attributed to travel. There has to be some consideration of the economic effect of these restrictions.. future generations of bahamians will carry a heavy burden because of the cost of this pandemic here. Lets strike a balance, no PCR test to enter, but still wear mask maybe?

So whats with the appointments ? If you want to make getting jab convenient why not just say where to go and when for those eligible and then do first come, first served ptovided you ptoduce photo ID with birthdate.

I don’t know why deciding that anyone from Brazil, SA and Schengen zone not be allowed entry is a difficult decision. PM has always said he is destroying the economy to save Iives. That suggests keeping persons who may be able to transmit a far more contagious variant out.

If fewer non bahamians buy land is no big deal except for the vulture realtors and lawyers with their unearned, glutunous percentage based commissions. Climate change will impact us no matter what we do.. we couod be impacted by an oil spill from the cubans since their reserves are on their north coast.. we see what covid and an economy with a single vulnerable industry has done for us with debt spiraling out of control, NIB overburdened and soaring joblessness.. there is risk in everything.. some argue that fossil fuels are on the way out so why bother, but thats exactly why we need to do it now before whatever is there is worthless.. the choice is clear..

We need less dipping into the fund and less socialist handouts. Citizens must understand small country governments dont have the capacity to help due the numbers..
