Whats the motivation for this? If a person wants to vote, they will find the time to register. If they aren't bothered, then they may not register. As far as i know, its not mandatory to register or vote in the Bahamas so if people choose not too, so be it. WTF? Another scary initiative by government to force things on people.. slowly but surely heading toward totalitarian government.

There is no doubt BPL will fail. governnent does this all the time - pretend to hand control to someone, then handcuff them with all manner of conditions and over rule anything they want to do to improve things...

this isn't rocket science. you tell them all franchises will expire 31 December 2017 and a single bus company comes into being 01 Jan 2018. you see any shitty hustling bus services in Miami, NY, London or any other worthwhile place? same thing for taxis. this every man owning his own car is BS. we need to get our act together in this country and stop this rush to the lowest possible standard for everything...

there is no vision in the Bahamas, just butt sucking, handout seeking paranha. nothing progressive about the country at all. always trailng the pack. every change of significance always follows some country, organization or agency putting a gun to our head. WTF?

big government is the root of all evil. let the Unions have their way with private employers and watch as one by one they fold up. its fundamental to operating a business that he who has the gold, makes the rules. after all, its his gold. The writing is on the wall for us all, just a matter of time now before we strike bottom..

If this is accurate information, the decision to drop out and self-insure makes sense. As always, it begs the question why nobody seemed to understand the criteria to be eligible to claim before now? We are in the hole $9.0m with no payback meanwhile, Haiti appears to have done quite well in terms of claims versus premiums paid. I mean who the hell vets government papers before signing onto programs? It seems we are always being 'stiffed'.

An unusually humble comment from brother Ferguson... not too long ago he and his brethren threatened to put a gun to the Bahamas economy and shut it down.. wow how times change..

No matter how you make it look, $7.0b+ is still owed and has to be repaid by a country that increasingly is heading to a position of being unable too.

The glory days for the Bahamas are long gone due to successive incompetent governments. If you read what outside agencies and experts write, it's only a matter of time now before the bottom completely falls out. What a shame.
