This is the government once again with its head up its a**. One boat had an issue that’s resulted in this catastrophe and let’s be reasonable this could have happened to any boat. Have a group of inspectors inspect the fleet and certify the rest as seaworthy or not. Simple. Y are you shutting down a whole business because of one accident? I didn’t see the shipping company involved in an accident at sea in the vicinity of cat island get a cease and desist order. Stop the bulls**t and dumb rhetoric.
Seems as if they are talking with 2 tongues. Initially they said they were targeting 311 people to accept the package and let go. If only 300 applied u can’t let 100 go now? Something isn’t adding up. Seems as if 4-600 people applied. When do the foreign consultants start with those exorbitant salaries or have they already??
I highly doubt these implemented taxes and regulations can cause the decline. How about exorbitant prices, poor service and lack of value for dollar. I agree the system is flawed ie why isn’t a fishing lisence booth in the intl arrivals section Or in the Intl airports through out the bahamas. Makes sense doesn’t it... clear customs grab ur lisence And enjoy the rest of ur trip hassle free
Wow... talk about a sense of entitlement. The government should raise the rent on these stalls since they have a problem paying 37 dollars a week. I think 800 a month is more than fair!!!

I am quite sure this is an accident. Fuel leaked into the bilge and the float switch ignited the fuel. Not much u can do in this situation.
