The problem lies with Minnis. Back in September or so when he set the deadline for Mr. Jean Charles to leave the country by December 31st, he should have said that deadline applied to all illegals - not just this one guy and his employer.
What an incredible waste of resources that we have hundreds of immigration officers on the payroll just to deport ONE guy. Crazy.
The second thing is we have not heard about any charges against his employer. I mean, if Minnis is only allowing the department to deal with this one guy then at least his employer should be charged. It is a shame no other employers can be charged - but we have to thank God for small favors.
What about his fingerprints? Was he fingerprinted before he was deported?
Our national pass-time is baby making. We mix our Water & Sewerage together. We have a proxy government called the Christian Council. We have a lady we never hear from as our Head of State. I could go on and on, but who would listen?

No - that's why I specifically excluded those who operate their little take-out food places as normal - without liquor. And I excluded those who have sit down restaurants that serve liquor inside. It would be nice to give you examples - but I'm sure you are aware the libel laws in this country do not allow for that. There are indeed Chinese Bahamians in this country who do belong here and love our country as we do. I applaud them and support them by patronizing their businesses.
Basically in the world today, there is a lack of an instinct to survive. I would encourage anyone to study the current situation in Sweden. Basically - today - there is no more Sweden. It no longer exists. Only the dirt is left.
Mr. Moss - an interesting point. But do not only blame Christie or even Ingraham before him. Please also blame every single individual Bahamian who sets foot into a Chinese owned food store and/or liquor store and gives them money. That should not include Chinese food establishments because that is a cultural offering - BUT it should include those who sell alcohol as take-out.
Bahamians constantly give money to their enemies, and then wonder how come their enemies always seem to have more power than them in the ways of business and governance. The answer? Bahamians gave them the money. Their money. Our money. Keep buying from the Chinese (again, except for the non-alcohol take-aways, and the sit-down with alcohol) and see how that get you. We can already see.
The development now proposed for West End in Grand Bahama is a complete and utter joke. Reason? West End can no longer have an airport. The agreement which sold Hutchinson 50% of the Airport Company included a clause that no other airports can be built on the entire island of Grand Bahama (not just the Port area) without their consent. You think they will give it? No they will not "give" it. They will "sell" it though - and the price will be very very high.
The pirates have already sold us to the merchant ships. Any children you have today are being born in bondage.
Remember Pindling threw the mace out of the House achieving Independence. Rules of men do not come from God. Right is right. If you have a situation where a peoples' representative can be suspended forever (ie. without a date) then that person is actually not a peoples' representative. They can only be a well behaved negro. Any "uppity" negros will be "suspended". With that you do not have self rule. Wake up. I am not at all a supporter of the PLP, but the 4 that are there represent certain people in this country and they MUST be allowed to represent them - otherwise you are saying that Minnis is a king. If you want a king, then tear up the flag and the Constitution and call Elisabeth and beg forgiveness.
It is an injustice that the Speaker would not set the time of her suspension at the moment that he made it. An MP should not be able to be suspended sine die.
Hopefully Davis and Cooper will NOT return to the House until the Speaker states the date that MP Martin can return - and that this date is spoken by him while the House is seated. They can watch the newspapers or TV to read/hear his utterance.
Otherwise, we have no democracy and there is no point attending the House.
I am not a PLP. I do not like them at all. But democracy is democracy and they deserve that much respect. Hanna-Martin has shown time and again that she will stand up for the Bahamian people by putting herself at risk. The last time I recall was when the boy was found hanging by his own belt in the Grove police station. She was suspended then as well. She is a true hero of the people, and I believe had she been present and had not Pindling thrown the mace out, she would have done it. The PLP has made a GRAVE mistake by not electing her as Chairman at their recent convention.
