Bogart - someone told me about two years ago that many years ago the Bahamas signed a secret Treaty with Haiti which in effect saved our population from being overrun and murdered outright with machetes in exchange for a "slow peaceful" handover of our land. They said that the Bahamas historically belonged to Haiti and that it was stolen from Haiti. This Treaty remedies that theft in a "humane" way and will allow the "remnant" Bahamians to continue to live here until they are eventually driven out by their own choice to leave or they become inbred.

I, of course, do not know if this is true, whether the Treaty exists but the person was NOT joking - they were dead serious. It was just a casual conversation at a coffee shop in Nassau and i don't know the person.

It sounds CRAZY but it would certainly explain the inaction of successive governments. People may say our Govt would not do that - but what's the difference in that versus driving up a 6 billion dollar debt in our name and refusing to give us a list showing to whom and what amounts make-up that debt, OR signing us up to obey the WTO without giving even one specific example of how membership will benefit us neither even a list of ten of the many rules we will have to follow.

So to those who say "the Government would have informed us of the secret Treaty", i say to them quit taking those colorful pills. The building permit laws etc. are nullified by the Treaty. The very few deportations (by %) are just "for show" to keep the public fooled. That's why the same deported persons are seen back here a few weeks later. Free family visits that we also pay for.

You bet. The article says "...to accommodate the many displaced people, which DCP Seymour said included “quite a number of children.”

Duh. Really? Haitians have "quite a number" of children? This is news?

Pedestrians not old enough to drive many times dont realize that just because a driver hits the brakes doesnt mean the car will immediately stop. Wet roads, bald tires, heavier than normal load due to more passengers or luggage. But they think the brake pedal is a magical thing that can make a car stop if you step right out in front of them. Add to this reality a STINK attitude on both sides of the fence and you a have a problem in the making.

That being said, i also pray for her full recovery.

The solution is to use the beds in the maternity ward to take care if displaced persons.

Turn away pregnant women at the security booth and tell them "Sorry, but we don't need what you're selling. We have too many people in here already. You must have missed the memo last year. Good luck and goodbye."

Real talks.

The common thread in the article is "sale of real estate to Bahamians." This is a no-no. The idea here is to cause these foreign owned parcels to simply become abandoned and thus available to squatters.

Once these winter months are behind us and the high winds die down over the seas, the sloops will sail again. Government is busy allocating monies for hospital and clinic improvements nation-wide with an emphasis on the maternity ward at PMH (ya know dem is arrive pregnant so they can be released from CRDC on humanitarian grounds) - so more delivery beds needed. More squatting real estate needed too. Notice no money allocated yet for Min. Roker's radar system in Inagua - and he been out of govt long time - but still no money.

Free land, free clinics, free school, Amnesty International got ya back, all aboard !!!

So we can expect dancing in the streets in several Caribbean islands this weekend? More money transfer comin'. Time to get pregnant!!!

You are correct - but overall we would prefer to die as a nation and go extinct as a culture - that's just who we are. We don't deserve to survive.
