This is so funny. How about instead looking into why certain "reputable" dealers in Nassau sell FORD vehicles made at the Ford plant in Brazil for which you cannot obtain parts in Miami.
No. The US parts do not fit on the Brazil manufactured Ford cars. The VIN numbers do not even show up in the database at Pep Boys.
There is a reason the Government likes importing foreign teachers to produce "D Average" students. They grow up to be nice little dumb adult slaves.
Bahamians keep paying their church tithes and belly swellin. These days, you would have to go as far as the cocoa fields of western Africa to find a better herd of sheep.
He was not specific on the amount of the fine to employers, and hinted at "...we are looking at and we probably will later this year increase the penalties for employers hiring...".
So, in other words, it will be a slap on the wrist and they will confiscate all your bubble gum. That's it.
Go ahead employers...hire anyone you want. They are obviously joking and jiving. No need to worry.
Have you heard of one single employer being charged before the Courts? I haven't. And you won't either. In the unlikely chance that you do hear of one, they will not report the amount of the fine. One big joke.
Free land, Free clinics, Free schools, All Aboard !!!!!
The sad thing is, no matter how many of them "stay too long" the rest that come after don't learn and do the same. They also cover each other's backsides by not ammending the Constitution to have term limits. Of course, this could be done much more easily within their Party constitutions just like the DNA did.
Symonnette should say he is suggesting to his colleagues in Cabinet that we raise the VAT to 10% and use the additional 2.5% to purchase and send food & medical supplies to Haiti in an effort to deter them from coming here.
He should go on to say that the influx will be monitored and if they continue to come, then obviously we are not sending enough food and medicine, and so by March 31st a decision will be made whether or not to raise VAT to 15% and add that additional amount to the exports. It will continue to be increased by 5 percentage points every 3 months until the flow of illegals stops or we all starve to death together.
That will initiate an interesting and impressive public discussion on the radio talk shows and internet about the overall issue.
The EB people have a good point, however, they are ignoring that the Bahamian people have twice been given the chance to give equal rights to men & women but declined because they don't want inheritances going to the children of "sweethearts".
Sweethearting, spousal rape, wife beating, girlfriend beating, childhood pregnancy are all just parts of our culture and in a democracy we are simply choosing to keep them.
Women who get married in this country, or even worse, have a child for a Bahamian man are just plain stupid - and fail to learn from their mothers, aunts, big sisters, other "bust up" women in their neighborhood, the local crack whores, etc. They obviously want to go along the same path they see them going on - and so they dress up in a silly white dress and say "I do" and sign a legal document which they do not know all the laws related thereto.
Marriage is stupid.
Pregnancy is stupid.
So don't get all rattled and upset about these perceived "problems" for Bahamian women. They love it. They crave it. Teens can't wait to get pregnant so they can be "a woman".
Work to try and change their mentality if you want to make a real difference E.B.
SengLi02 - It was a joke buddy. I was one of the people arguing against his remarks on the prior article. All the "slut" stuff above is just said as a joke - hence the rhyming like Dr. Seuss stuff - LOL. The first sentence, however, is very serious. I do thank the Father for his clarification, and I agree with him that both men and women should have been warned. I also sincerely applaud him for the follow-up. It takes a real man, an honest man to stand corrected or at least acknowledge an oversight. I now have great respect for this man of the cloth. I pray he has a great and prosperous new year. Hopefully he can support and come to convince other churches to support the need for good sex education in our schools to prevent disease and early pregnancy which ruins the lives of our young women and their offspring who themselves are thus born with a child as a parent.
I have nothing against the scantily clad ladies - they are great - I just wish them to also be safe in their endeavors.
Good points SP. I, on the other hand, prefer to commend Mr. D'Aguilar for this positive move. As I've said many times, I am not an FNM and had VERY little faith in this Govt back in May. However, they do seem to be making quite a few positive steps. Every other week there is some positive announcement in business or in criminal probes into fiscal waste etc.
We would certainly be much better with Prime Minister Mortimer. However, we are all in the same boat and I wish the best of success to this Government - which for the time being is "our" Government.
Thank you Father. It takes a real man to apologize when appropriate - just like the old Purdue chicken commercial "It takes a tough man to make a tender chicken."
I'm sure the comments on the previous article were a bit "unusual" to behold for someone of your generation. That (if true) would certainly be understandable. But these days, in these modern times, sluts have rights too. They also wear tights, these sluts with rights. So don't pick fights with sluts with rights who party in the nights, cause their freedoms have soared to new heights.
I have created a website to support their cause, and you (or anyone) can make donations with Visa, Mastercard, or Paypal.
