Correct and every 5 years Bahamians get swing with just a little chicken and beer. That's what they think the lives of our children are worth, a little chicken and beer.
Well hopefully no Cabinet member or his family will have cancer or other serious illness. On the other hand i suppose the police would not charge them with possession anyway. If you are high in government (pun intended) or a Haitian then you dont have to worry about medicines or hospital bed availability. If you are a Bahamian, you just suffer and die. It is your sealed fate.
"“If only the Government in The Bahamas would recognise the value of the Hawksbill Creek’s jurisdiction, and support its development and growth. It would help to create a resurrection of the Freeport economy which, in turn, would be a magnificent boon to the Public Treasury."
Successive governments have not cared about any of that. They don't care about the lost money to the Treasury. They don't care that VAT had to be implemented to make up the difference from what Freeport was depositing in the 90s. All they know is that the GBPA is owned by white people from England, and they must go at all costs - even if VAT has to raise up to 75%.. The same thinking is taking place in South Africa currently.
"During the hearing, Margarette Macaulay, rapporteur on the Rights of Women and Persons of African Descent and..." I Why not bring ALL Africans here one time? All 1.3 billion of them. They have rights; we don't. Bring them ALL and bring them NOW. Let's get this over with one time.
Thank God for these good folks from Texas. We could buy them ourselves with our tax money - but it's all held in the "consolidated fund" and nobody knows where that is or how much is in it.
Thank goodness the DNA remains steadfast in their efforts to offer better and better to the Bahamas. Unfortunately, like the saying says, you can lead a Bahamian to water but you can't make him drink.

KP is correct. How can there be criticism over financial figures, when we don't have them to even look at?
