What's really amazing is you NEVER hear of anybody in the whole world being arrested and found guilty of money laundering. All of us have to give blood sample and wear underwear two sizes too small every time we go in a bank to "prevent money laundering" which never happens.

Some say this is because any particular bank does not want to be "associated" with it in the news. Why not? Why not be proud and say "We here at First Federal Bank of Somecity are proud of our work together with the FBI that brought these criminals to justice. You can be assured of secure and legal transactions when you bank with us."

Nope. They hide behind a curtain and make us feel like criminals.

The EU needs taxes galore to pay for all the social services consumed by the Haitians that have come across through Libya and into Italy and Portugal and spread all around Europe (except Pohland and Hungary and Chek). Basically a set of people who have nothing in their assets column except sperm, and think they can invade the modern world and get something out of nothing - without making any change or improvement to themselves. Walk around with towels on their head, obstructing MAJOR highways every single morning right in the middle of London for morning prayers and doing all kinda fool - and WE have to pay for it. Yes, WE Bahamians have to help pay for it because the EU tax man is looking for money to pay teachers and doctors and buy food etc for all of them (just like we do here for the Haitians).

Schools in England are now offering classes in "Handling the Effects of Stabbings". Seriously. Children being taught how to deal with stabbings - stopping blood flow, calling for help, which organs may be damaged, long term and short term effects, etc. Insanity is now being stamped as "Normal".

Where will they go next after the EU and the Bahamas are both turned into poor nations just like the ones they left? How will we survive when VAT goes to 15%? 22%? 35%? Look at what's happening in Europe. Check youtube. Truly crazy stuff.

This is directly related to what this article discusses. TAXES. Taxes to pay for nonsense that should never have been needed.

The DNA should have gotten at least ONE seat in Grand Bahama this go around. The way that island been treated by both Parties since 1992 should make anyone there question their loyalty to the two main players and look for an alternative. The DNA offered an alternative. If FPO economy still sucking come 2022, I wonder if they will turn fool and put PLP back in? Probably. It's a stuck record.

that's where you're wrong. You say "he should sit down with..." NO. The Government of the Bahamas should have facilitated such a sit-down after sitting down themselves first with the union leadership and a few chief techs to explain what the plan is and how they fit into it and how it fits with the needs of the Bahamas. How it will create employment, what training will be provided, over what time period, and how the Finns need to do the initial installation mainly.

Instead, government went ahead and made all these plans behind everyone's back - big and bold (cause they "in power" ya know) and then called up everybody and said "this what we doing - yall like it or too bad. yall ain't nobody. we is boss. yall could suck teeth."

The root of the problem here is simple. You guys are Bahamians. As Bahamians, you get the shaft. Every time. Efficiently. It's just how we go. I would advise moving to Haiti, applying for citizenship there, getting your Haitian passport and then return here with that and apply for your Bahamian passport. You will likely receive it same day.

Before you buy your tickets though, try seeing your MP in person. Make an appointment, even if you supported the other party. Often times they can make a phone call, and these "missing" documents suddenly appear as if by magic.

Lenny, people with money have all kinds of freedom in this Bahamas. Nothing special there. It is true almost anywhere in the world. A few exceptions might be Afghanistan, Myanmar, Libya, Iran, North Korea, and Palestine. Other that that - you got money? You good. You free.

Again, the dude did not amend the appropriate Act while in power to empower the leader of the Opposition (who is the leader of PAC) to have the authority to conduct ANY and ALL investigations to do with finance without needing approval from the speaker or anyone.

The PLP was too afraid to give that much power to the Opposition FNM and now that they are in opposition - they don't have the power. Good for them. Hope they don't find out nothin. We will never find out where the VAT money goes no how - so it don't matter. If you are a Bahamian - you are really just slave who pays taxes and eats corned beef - so hush up.

Yall ga let Sears speak at Convention prior to any voting this time? Or ya wanna lose the next election too?

Davis says here about ambition - but (and know full well what happened to Sears last time) - failed to specifically state whether anyone who challenges him will be
1) Allowed to speak at Convention PRIOR to voting;
2) Be given the names and contact info of ALL of the zillions of delegates so that he/she can speak with them in an attempt to persuade their allegiance.

????? Probably not. If you challenge, keep your duct tape handy.
