It is truly shameful when a representative of the people - an MP - let alone a Constitutional authority such as Leader of the Opposition - is not allowed to speak in the people's house.
It is even more shameful that the person preventing OUR Leader of Opposition from speaking, is himself known as "Speaker". You cant get a more stupid situation than that.
Persons opposing Mr. Davis's right to speak ought to be shipped to North Korea for one month. I am no fan of Mr Davis, but i am a fan of trying to hold on to the little hint of democracy we have left in this hell hole.
"...and have instant access to revenue rather than seeing an important income stream tied up in expensive and costly litigation."
?????????????????
Litigation on what grounds? Could we have sued the governmemt in Jan 2015 for raising VAT from 0% to 7.5% and last year from 7.5% to 12%?????
I have an Island Luck card which i will today cut in half and throw away. I will not support them getting away with taxes while i will have to pay 15% VAT starting July 1st.
I often disgree with this super liberal lady - but in this case i agree 100%. God needs to severely punish the Bahamas for operating the concentration camps we have at fox hill and carmichael. We should all be brought to our knees where the USA has to fly in grits by helicopter for us to eat.
In the Bahamas and Haiti, children are just leftover sexual biproducts that grow up to be prisoners. Others may choose to gloss over this reality with a pretty rose coloured light - and call me a fool. Thats fine. It wont change the cold hard facts.
Why are they not forced to sign a waiver that they will not work for any government department or under any govt contract or for any entity under full or partial govt control or ownership for 10 years?
Glad to hear government is having land problems. I hope they have no end of land problems.
The people have land probems too - and no govt since 1973 has tackled it. No govt cares. Our problem is that the "Crown" has our land. This land is only available to government and Haitians.
