Crypto is an illusion that appeals to the gullible and greedy. Not that real currency isn't becoming almost as volatile due to Government debts and money printing. I once watched a Guy weep because he had lost millions overnight in 2008. He still had millions. Not so for most. The loss will be real.
Political appointment can only result in political termination. Back and forth every election cycle. They want yes men. Not thinking or competent men. Hence civil service Government has no continuity, no proper civil service training, following political edict instead of the written law.
Never mind the visible rift, look deeper to find who is really pulling the Sands/Minnis strings. A waste of time giving either any press. FNM better reinvent itself as it seems they have out PLP'd the PLP.
Apparently entry into the HOA doesn't even require reading the house rule book any more. Authority usurped by personal power rules these days, pick your flavor poison.
Why anyone tolerates a union anymore is beyond belief. So he is going to push for more pay due to inflation, and thereby directly cause inflation on our tourist product, already over priced.
In effect, whichever Government you deal with, having them renege on any contractual/License agreement is a distinct possibility. Forget FDI by anyone but bottom feeders in that case. Also note, the two Defense force officers are aboard at all times to corroborate any finds and maintain transparency. Monroe appears misinformed, or malfeasant?
None of this inflationary stuff has even hit the fan yet. It is beyond Government control, and they know it. They're between the proverbial rock and hard place, either bleed your people and economy out or directly bleed out the Government. Two pathways to the same end result.
Will still attract VAT @10%. As it was with 10% duty it was a compound tax with VAT calculated on duty a well as first cost and shipping pushing it to over 22% total tax. With the wealthy buying boats valued around $400k plus, I'd say the government is doing quite well with VAT alone, as the duty drop may trigger boat purchases that may otherwise not happen.
So with all the back and forth that has raised its head over the decades re treasure hunting, to have the former administration "approve" an effort to hunt and recover, begs the question, If the treasury gets 25%, which former minister might be getting a personal cut? Treasury or treasure, we know they cannot help themselves ( or do so as soon as in office)
