Covenants serve a purpose. If you bought property in a quiet neighbourhood with relatively low activity and someone opened a mini hotel next to you, you would not take that kindly. Traffic, noise, dirt, multiyear construction activity.

I think of the experience of Mr Hoffer, right across the street from the PM, a Bahamian family is being tortured with the blessing of the OPM in the name of "economic activity"

The clause in the constitution that allows the *right to register as a Bahamian* to be revoked has to be enacted immediately.

Poverty is on the rise, the middle class is disintegrating under the pressure from increased govt taxes and fees and quadrupled FOCOL/Pike electricity bills. We cannot take on the burden of a poor nation with millions of people. The USA Canada And Europe need to assimilate the people in need within their borders.

The same argument used here could be used for Haiti. Theres lots of empty land. Port au Prince is just one city. Outside of that city the country is at peace

This is unbelievable

"*However, Christina Rolle, the Securities Commission’s executive director, confirmed that neither Aethercoin nor Mr Biere are licensed or registered with the regulator to conduct crypto and digital assets business from this jurisdiction **as required by law** under the Digital Assets and Registered Exchanges (DARE) Act.*"

"*He did his homework and determined he did not need to do this registration with the Securities Com- mission.*"

So anyone can come to the Bahamas start offering cryptocurrency services and can operate unlicensed because they're *not really in the Bahamas*?

The lawyers statement doesnt make sense. Was there any oversight by the SEC in the 6(?) year period? doesnt make sense

Marvin Pratt is still missing

Tribune Dec 20 2018 by Rashad Rolle:
*In an affidavit filed yesterday, Mr Pratt’s mother, Barbara Saunders, alleges an officer told the family her son was taken into custody.*

*A friend of the family who is employed by the Royal Bahamas Police Force – in the Forensics Unit – informed me and I verily believe that he saw Marvin in the custody at the Drug Enforcement Unit/Central Detective Unit and he appeared to be battered and bruised,” she said. “I am in fear that if I reveal the identity or the source of this information that he may be victimised by the respondents as they continue to deny having custody of my son.”*

*Ms Saunders adds: “On Saturday, December 8, 2018, my granddaughter, Robyn Noel, and I after not hearing from or seeing Marvin, went to the Drug Enforcement Unit on Thompson Blvd looking for him because we were concerned about his welfare. I asked the officer at the station ‘do y’all have a Marvin Saunders or Marvin Pratt’ and the officer responded ‘y’all come to sign his bail ay’ to which I responded ‘yes’ and he went in the back.*

*“When the officer returned he had a face only a mother could love and he immediately changed his tone about Marvin being in custody. I said to the officer **‘but you just asked me if I came to sign his bail**, that means he is here.’ The officer began speaking to me and my granddaughter in an aggressive manner - saying Marvin was not in custody. We became afraid and we left and went to the Central Detective Unit which was located next door.*

Commissioner Paul Fernander said in the story that noone named "Marvin *Pratt*" had been taken into custody. I noticed the Mother when inquiring about him at the station asked for "Marvin Pratt" or "Marvin *Saunders*"

Strange story. A neighbour also claims she saw DEU officers in the area and she shouted for Marvin to run but they caught him and put him in a vehicle. Can people make things up? Sure, still a strange story.

Marvin is still missing.

"*majority of it’s income comes from a passenger facility fee which is paid regardless if the cruise visitor leaves the ship or not.*"

Apparently people will sell out country for a quick buck any day.. *as long as I making money*

"*realised that moving will give us the target market that we were looking for,”*
Chester Cooper said everybody on Bay is making money. Since he has the VAT filings it would be good if he could publish who is "everybody". It would really be interesting to find out what tourists are opting to pay for. It maybe they find a 15 dollar meal much too expensive, especially when the ship have a buffet

Those some good quality range cookers to last this long! Too bad Taylor Industries is out of business, we could use more businesses selling quality products like that. I remember when GR Sweeting shoes could last years, with the microwave shoebox that replaced them you lucky if the heel dont fall off in two weeks (personal experience!)

Good old quality UBP range cookers

The police are currently investigating alledged manipulation of criminal cases before CDU by the head of CDU. Three people critical to the investigation have been murdered a fourth was the victim of an attempted murder. The police promised transparency in the investigation then shut all communication down. The promised experts from the UK who were going to oversee the case never arrived

An 18 year old prison officer unusually selected out of thousands by the Davis administration for gifting of a low cost home was taken into custody for involvement in a murder conspiracy

A police officer is on charges for involvement in a drive by shooting/attempted murder

A 62 year old senior govt official is on remand as the mastermind in a murder for hire plot

This case sounds like all of them. Of the 87(?) murders to date that were hit style attacks, we likely dont who the real mastermind is.

I dont understand why every year some silly junkanoo controversy becomes such a big deal. Every single year. Someone come on in the wrong order, somebody block somebody truck. Somebody spy on someone shack, someone get 10 points deducted unfairly.

Just get a new name and continue the cycle that we so proud of of of unfinished costumes, getting late to Bay street to rush the parade half drunk then waiting an hour for the next group to get to the 10x10 square that we so proud of to play court jester to the king... and yes I do love junkanoo, I just wish it could shine like the port instead of rundown Arawak cay.
