I bet its not. If it were simple, Davis would have had his press conference yesterday. The fact that he's said nothing, and the immaculate press secretary and AG both rolled out of bed for a press conference means even Davis and his advisors are trying to figure this out.

**We must be the dumbest people in the world. I've never heard of a case in the US being impacted because the public is "speculating". The judge instructs the jury not to read articles or listen to or discuss the case**. The onus isnt on the public, the onus is on the jury to separate themselves. When the report against Kirk Cornish was filed with the police, the media wouldnt even call his name! They wouldnt even say what the charge was. It was just some mystery. **The best thing the Davis administration could have done was send him on leave, but instead they pretended, like the media, as if nothing had happened.** When something happens, people talk, it will be that way 1000 years from now, **wise people get ahead of a damaging story.**
We need to stop excusing bad behave because its someone with a senior position in the country or someone who's name we recognize. Men need to control themselves.
His penalty is harsh because what he did was beyond irresponsible, to the extreme. When managers get thrown out of a game in major league baseball they disappear. This guy refused to, instead he threatened the life of the umpire, loudly, he then barged into the umpires locker room, an area he had NO authority to be in with the express purpose of attacking the umpire, he then physically attacked the umpire and had to be forcefully removed by other officials. Refusing the leave the play area was sufficient for multiple games suspension. Threatening a visiting umpires life and attacking him? To cap it all off his report of what transpired was he just "*threw some water*"... dishonesty. The 15 years is essentially a lifetime ban and quite appropriate. "*Attacking an umpire*" is sacrilege in sports
I did not see news footage but I'm hearing the reports of how the press secretary and AG were frumpily dressed. Odd. On Sunday after 8PM I came to the tribune.com expecting to find a statement from the PM on what this all meant, he typically gives press statements on Sunday evenings. No explanation. At this point I'm beginning to believe PM Davis does not even know what's happening. The announcement was odd. The fact that nobody knows why is the *oddest*
No. They should collect their salary and be sent on leave. They should have no authority to carry out any function of their office until they have been found not guilty, if guilty someone else gets to carry out the mandate. We need to stop this nonsense that someone charged with murder can sit in Parliament like nothing happen until a court finds them guilty 5 years later. This system is used for every other senior office across govt.
*Can a person off the street convicted of a crime run for office? Even if they served less than a year? No, the constitution forbids it. Then what makes that convicted criminal less desirable than someone convicted of a crime while in office? Fact, nobody creates a rule to disadvantage themself*

Passing Bills is their job. The fact that they have a super majority makes passing a bill even less significant. What else?
