I believe baiting does have a correlation. When people go into a controlled environment for a shark dive they are told to keep very still, no sudden movements, their behaviour makes the dive safe... well somewhat. A "regular" swimmer having a surprise encounter with a shark who associates (or not) people with food will act erratically. I think if a grouper touched me in the water I'd freak out. That frantic movement would trigger the shark to react. That's as much as I learn from teewee.

"*Because we had so many transactions trying to process at the same time, it was rejecting a token, probably looking as fraud.”*

Uhm... so Im pretty certain this is PR cover, Mr Davis knows his IT.

There were 8000 tickets in total. Imagine Amazon saying it couldnt handle 8000 payments. In reference to cash and online at the same time the system should be able to resolve a contention for the same ticket within seconds of each other. The problem with most systems is either enough testing isnt done or enough real life scenarios arent tested. Then someone has to provide a logical sounding reason for what happened that doesnt present like an error. And most Bahamians buy it because "*hey, its technology, these things happen*". imagine if you went in your car put it in drive and it reversed, would you say, "*hey its technology, we expect some errors?*". No system is perfect, but there are some things that should never happen, like double booking, one transaction should fail gracefully, no matter how close they are together.

Yawn. What about the 200 sq acres of mangroves thst were destroyed? Are companies still being allowed to cut down hills and destroy trees in Andros for soil?

I read this allegory in high school in a geography book regarding Haiti. Over time, they systematically cut down all the trees in the name of commerce, then when the rains came they started experiencing the devastating mudslides. Hills soil and trees absorb rainwater, ask Nassau that has seen significant increase in flooding with concrete poured over soil, swamps filled in, hills and trees destroyed

Come home and read speeches to Bahamians about what we are doing to ourselves. Come quick while there is a Bahamas.

"*Al Jaber added: “Please help me, show me the roadmap for a phase-out of fossil fuel that will allow for sustainable socioeconomic development, unless you want to take the world back into caves.”*

For me the issue isnt that he made the statement. The issue is he's correct. Noone has answered him. Unless I missed it. How do you phase out completely?

Again as Ive said before its clear to me that no nation, none, has any serious intention of phasing out oil. Theyd all collapse. Im further bolstered in my belief by scripture (sorry this is just my belief, it can be a nice story to others) in the apocalypse it says "*hurt not the oil and the wine*". If in the apocalypse theyre protecting the oil interest, it een going nowhere. Nations go to these conferences to go to the conference. Some go to get on the world stage and make a speech.

I will say, if the Bahamas believes it will get its hands in billions of disaster funding to squander it on 6m in 200 overpriced worthless igloos for a tropical climate and a "gift" of a 16000 dollar generator to the Executive Director in a fire sale, theyd better think again. That day gone

Hmmm... I get it but it sounds like Salem witch trial on sharks. its possible this could be the work of a single shark thats found a new food source. Maybe its injured.

A better approach might be people education. There's a man that I always see cleaning fish at the Prince Charles/East Bay ramp, that needs to stop. I saw a large stingray swimming right on shore in the area, maybe 1-2ft from the seawall, again I dont know if thats usual or not. But you cant clean fish where people swim, its literally baiting the water. Which leaves an open question for Montagu, Potters Cay and Arawak Cay practices. We need to start doing things with sense.
