Makes no sense. You tell a Bahamian employee, *dont park in those spots close to the building, noones monitoring them but they're for the general public. Your parking is 200ft away, park and walk*. See how that works. Worse yet, you try to tell a rich entitled white foreigner that they cant park near the building, you'll get a call passed down from Chester Cooper just like the immigration officer rounding up the illegal Chinese immigrants. *"Leave dem people alone*". Followed by early retirement. Town Planning is fully aware that this new "plan" has changed nothing. Further to agree that Bahsmians no longer have access to the beach via a road specifically designed to give Bahamians access to the beach is sacrilege
The truth is a desperately hungry man will eat from the garbage.
To the extent that a hungry child had "something", ok, but by no stretch of the imagination can these meals be termed "healthy", and its very easy to tell that the grits is cold, its clearly hardened. Possible that the lunches were packaged elsewhere and delivered in containers as opposed to being served from warming plates.
Im somewhat surprised at the quality as the govt announced this program as one of its shining achievements.
We have to be honest about results and not swallow everything as given. I dont know how much was spent per school per day but is the result reflective of the price paid?
To judge the impact do what Keith Bell did, show up on campus and ask the kids about the food
Corruption in parliament and armed branches is the problem. When the criminals see MPs, policemen, defence force personnel, customs officers and immigration officers increasing exponentially off a govt salary they feel the right to follow the *by any means necessary* personal enrichment policy too. And the people on the street know better than us who corrupt and who getting what. Theres a story in the paper today of the former police staff association chairman caught in a drug scandal with 2 Columbians. The sheer irony. People know. Corruption is the source of all our problems including high food and gas prices
Exactly. You know it baffles me when people say anyone could come up with an idea. If that were true why do they feel the need to steal so many?? And then completely fluffle them up.
On Shark Tank the people with resources dont try to hide the innovator in the background then tell the world, look how smart I is I come up with this idea. They realize the person whose idea it is, is the best person to implement the idea. In cases where they deem the individual truly isnt capable but the idea is great, they pay handsomely to buy the business. The problem here is we have artificially appointed leaders. They have nothing to recommend them but a relationship with the PM. They can't think, they cant plan, so when an innovator comes along, they feel the need to show how smart they is by claiming someone else idea. All the Sharks care about is making money off a good idea
The alternative solution is to pay someone for the hours they put into their great idea at the going consultancy rate, which is about 80 per hour or more, not "*you een nobody so you cant expect too much*"
Anyone handing money to a govt official as payment for receipt of a contract should look in the mirror as they eat mutton. They're the source of 5 dollar loaf of bread and 7 dollar gas while the US gas prices are going down
Corruption and ubiquitous corruption seeds inflation
"*99 percent of the structures that were to be demolished on Monday have been affected.*"
Does anyone believe this is a coincidence?
Two weeks from now after memories have faded of the fire, the govt can claim that they cleaned up the Kool Acres shanty town and some 80% of the structures are removed from the area. Then In three weeks time someone will call a talk show to report that a new shanty town has popped up somewhere else, they will call for 3 years to ask why nothing is being done, the shanty town will grow to 300 structures then there'll be another fire.
Address the constitution, we cannot continue to absorb illegal migrants, we clearly do not have the resources to. This is a national security issue, the constitution provides a remedy if we had any MP in parliament willing to do the legislative job they are actually paid to do. As prices rise you're going to fuel anarchy
