The weird thing is all of these ginormous tax increases are surfacing after Brave Davis Davis gave us his sincerest Im for the poor speech. The FNM is no better. They would have come with no preparation no ideas and resorted to handing over property to foreign investors in ridiculous deals and hiking taxes for increased revenue to support crony contract awards.

Tax tax tax will not work. Handing innovation contracts to men in suits who farm out to India and China will not work. It will certainly serve them and the people they pay off, but not the country. Can you imagine Singapore trying to get its tech industry off the ground and sending the work to China? Its ludicrous

The problem with Clints appointment is that he and Brave Davis have precisely characterized the nature of his new role, ~"*to get the govts message out*", not much different from his old role. "*Meet the new boss...*"

When tax grabbiness is going on everywhere else it defies belief that one tenfold increase is also not tax grabby

Wow. The MOF certainly knows how to kill an industry. What will one snapper cost now? 50 dollars? And this comes after Brave Davis' eloquent speech about no new taxes

I think what we heard in Abaco was an attempt at witness intimidation. And we allowed it by thinking him either crazy or a megalomaniac

"*Meeting after meeting got us nowhere in four years.*"

My theory is that this meeting run around is actually strategic, as they look to see how they can position themselves to profit from your proposal. Dont let them see the potential to make millions or to take credit for your innovation. Delia wrote the note.

I see govt talking now about creating spaces downtown to provide curated Bahamian souvenirs, isnt that someone else's business idea? Is the govt now in launching into competition with yet another citizen?

I dont know what to say. They could be cousins

God spare us the day they legalize prostitution because *everybody doing it anyway*. It's the worst possible reason to allow anything. Why not legalize running the red light?

Why is this a story? What happens if they say we een doing it? Much better to announce after approval given. No citizen will say *they tell me too late*
