The headline says it all ..Commissioner ‘acted correctly’ in case of **unlawfully** detained officer

"*500 jobs over a 10-year period.*"

Sigh

"*1,200 construction jobs consistently over the next five years.Ninety percent of these jobs will be reserved for Bahamians, and work permits will only be granted where Bahamians cannot be found in accordance with our Immigration laws and policies.*"

Sigh. History tells us they can twist these laws to mean anything. Remember the Pointe?

People in Grand Bahama still havent gotten answers on the last refinery, the prevalence of illnesses in those living in close proximity, the loud unexplained noises that made the ground shake, followed by men in hazmat suits... not science fiction, the story was detailed right in the Tribune and not one word **ever** from the govt. You have to wonder what is happening in this little country how many Rubis-like chemical contaminations have cabinet ministers not told us about?

**Well, the good thing is we now support, and are one of the most vocal proponents of Climate Change initiatives. Not a thing to worry about**

You forgot the attorney general who now says Toby's claim isnt valid because his application wasnt filed under this administration. Well that puts the who crown land system into question, applications are invalidated when govts change? These guys are coming up with absolute nonsense to support their decision to walk away from a promise that not only Toby believed but every Bahamian who voted for them believed, that includes Antoine

Are they engaged yet? I mean if I had a mega yacht and missed a chance at a proposal with the love of my life I wouldnt be wasting time going to embassies and news papers looking for apologies. Id be trying to make the disappointment up to my great love. On the other hand, if I lost money on an investment, you wouldnt hear the end of me

More words. Because someone here is profiting and once big money is involved, in The Bahamas, nothing is too illegal

So basically the report said, noone is doing anything and they fear they'll only act when the threat is imminent and it's too late. I could have told them that. Climate change is airy fairy, it's not tangible, it doesnt make money, it interferes with making money, they wont act. Even PM Davis who delivers impassioned and eloquent speeches doesnt really believe it. It just sounds good to say so and it's good optics... good busy work. He agreed to RCI, they selling off every cay possible for development, hills and forests are being decimated right under their noses and we're ceding development to the cruise industry. We're doing a great injustice to these islands

The solution is to let the cruise ship build and enclave to lure passengers off the ship.. oh wait, they already agreed to that
