Well, I'd agree with you but for the fact that the officers took them to the detention center, another officer saw them and did not yell "*who are you imposters in immigration uniforms??*". It should be fairly easy to determine who the officers are, they arrived in an immigration vehicle that would have been assigned to them for that day and they brought in detainees whom they would have had to have logged in.
If they cant be identified the officer in charge of the station should receive a hefty fine, somewhere between 5000 to 10000 dollars. It's time to stop these military officers who dont see, hear or know anything when prisoners end up abused and dead. Next time it might be your child, brother or husband.
Not saying this is the case, but following the argument of them not having *gazillions*, it doesnt seem logical that someone should be allowed to operate unsafely because they're Bahamian. Suppose the boat had sunk in the middle of the ocean? Could we say *how we expect them to have lifeboats and safety gear, they're not the cruise ships*.
**I remember a similar experience at a company where everybody and the cat was asking why management was making all these seemingly nonsensical decisions. The answer was revealed a few months later.... the company collapsed.**
We didnt know but they were making harsh decisions to save the company. I believe the same is happening here. The only explanation for these nonsensical tax policies is we are on the verge of collapse and they desperately need to bolster revenue from somewhere. The problem is this higher taxes strategy will backfire on them sharpely. The money will never be enough if they continue to spend non strategically. As a result, theyll have to continuously raise taxes until one day they will need to raise and nothing will be left to collect. More business will have failed, more people would have lost jobs and higher and higher taxes will result in less and less income
I dont know if Halkitis is out to lunch or simply adept at deceipt. He must know this has nothing to do with premiums. I have heard a single insurance rep talk about increased premiums, but he keeps bringing it up.
Consumers pay health insurance premiums to excuse them from the full cost of medical treatment. The system works because not everyone who pays a premium needs to claim on insurance and those that do only have responsibility for 20% of the bill. **It is the insurer's responsibility to pay 80% of the medical bill. The consumer paid premiums to remove that responsibility from themselves**. How then can the govt claim that the consumer must pay VAT on something that nothing to do with them?. **This would be tantamount to purchasing a fridge 50% discount and the govt telling you you have to pay VAT on 100% of the cost. It makes NO sense**. I with Bran, who is advising the govt on these disastrous economic policies? They een guh learn till the bottom drop out and the economy collapses
Interested to know how was he outsmarting anyone...
I dont see what it has to do with a man being murdered, but yes, in general, light skinned foreigners know they can get away with whatever because... **we** tell them they can. Remember the two white girls who climbed the fence to go to the beach during the full lockdown with a defence that an "*inspector Smith*" who they couldnt identify, gave them permission? Meanwhile the black coconut boy and the black boy getting water from the pump to wash his grandparent were both locked up. And then who can forget Sam?
Would constant battering of the coral reef classify as a threat to the environment? I dont know enough about reefs and how quickly they recover and what this "battering" ultimately means, is it zero threat or not? The govt needs to stop the everything is fine PR, sometimes it's not fine. Also, I do not see how we will be able to convince anyone that we can protect any carbon resources if our recovery effort here depends on "if" we can find rope.
Agree. We had to "*hold the line*" at 100 murders last year. It's certainly achievable by **extremely** and completely unrealistic. We've never exercised discipline ever. We just saynice sounding stuff
