I suspect as long as we keep a veil over how we treat our detainees, inclusive of Cuban immigrants, are treated Cuba will continue to hold Bahamians. I dont get the impression that country holds any love for us, blatantly murdering the Flamingo RBDF officers. So at your own peril...
"*According to his wife, Anya Chisolm, Mr Chisolm was travelling in international waters off the Cuban coast in possession of a **small** amount of marijuana when he was arrested by Cuban officials*"
"*Mr Chisolm is currently out on bail as he awaits trial for similar drug-related charges in The Bahamas in connection with a $**3m** drug seizure in the Exuma cays in 2020.*"
These 2 statements dont mesh. Sounds like he was caught multiple times over the course of years smuggling large amounts of drugs and...
"*Sometime between September 17 and 21, 2020, Mr Chisolm and two others were accused of conspiring to possess a quantity of Indian hemp.*"
They allow on what they want to hear. I get the need to filter abusive/slanderous commentary etc, but how is this different from what the strongmen did?
Brave Davis delivers speeches eloquently. It is amazing how much progress he's made in that department. Im sure they understood him. The problem for us is we believe the world will wait on us forever and we can tug heartstrings by mentioning Dorian in perpetuity. Not so. The worlds focus shifts with every disaster and there are hundreds of them. Current focus is Turkey. I believe that trumps even Haiti now
"*Given how sophisticated the Bahamian consumer is, and how savvy merchants are...*"
Doesnt seem like a correct assessment, I'm not sure who would refer to the bahamain consumer as *digitally sophisticated* in a largely cash based economy. 5 years ago at a local conference, one of the participants asked a govt moderator, "*how can you digitize if people cant read?*". Crickets and anger.
Saying Bahamians do *this and that* abroad, ignores just 2 (of a number of other) basic facts that make us **very** different from "abroad", we cant get electricity right and data is **very** expensive
No he does not have the support of the majority of Bahamians. He has a fringe group of radicals. Most people think he's on the verge of imploding. What I will say however is, many (not al) of the revolutionaries across history were probably half psychotic, over time and multiple story telling accounts, that psychosis gets transformed into "boldness" and "bravery"

I dont like his tactics but if he "was" a paying guest this is really bad. It would mean the police are being used as the strongarm of the state.
