The govt wants to do good things. Minimum wage was a good thing. Trying to reduce prices was a hood thing. But doing those good things without performing the proper analysus, without gathering the necessary data without understanding the impact caused CHAOS
"*stealth takeover of the healthcare industry” since it seeks to introduce price controls similar to those that have roiled the food and pharmaceutical industries.*"
figured the opposition was about loss of income. this isnt as clear cut as the grocers though. because generally if people cant afford a 30,000 dollar surgery they just live with the pain or die. Will this really affect doctors? they jave private practice so they can charge what they want there. they dont have to take on high volume low income patients
For me the question is is this another PR stunt for the masses. If govt has no money how will they ever afford catastrophic care for everyone?
How many times have we had a foreign leader speak at a political rally? Unless Im mistaken this was a **very** odd happening. So why did we feel the strong need to interfere in the political system of another country? What does that do to your relations if the other party wins? Was this payback for "something" like a financial contribution? Again all of these questions may be way out in left field but this back and forth and changing stories created the breeding ground and was completely avoidable, ... which sitting world leader speaks in another country's party political rally?

All of this because we want to ignore the problem with illegal Haitian immigration. I know personally a number of great people who've immigrated here from Haiti, I also know a number of great Bahamians but it doesnt stop me from recognizing the problems stemming from either community. It doesnt stop me from saying too many unqualified Bahamians are becoming parents and too many illegal Haitian immigrants are using birth in the Bahamas to undermine our national security.
The FNM is apparently no better. Everybody and their cocker spaniel realize that in 2021 so decided not to vote for either of them. When the PLP said the carnival pay us 200,000 to facilitate their operation the FNM basically say ~what wrong with that? When they in is their turn and we then we in is ours
Correction it's not only black countries where corruption flourishes from the President and his cabinet, its exhibited in Russia, Turkey, Latin America,... I think the common thread is a group of powerful people who concentrate wealth among them and stifle empowerment and innovation with "intention". I think that's it. The common man is meant to remain a servant carrying out mostly low wage jobs while monied contracts are only given to friends and family. In that system corruption flourishes, not just one or two ministers but organized and directed from the leader
The solution to the Haitian problem is not for the Bahamas to go under accepting all comers legal and illegal. What they need is a tactical force to infiltrate and take down the gangs. that is NOT something our defense force is trained to do. Im not even sure any world force could, have they succeeded in doing that in Latin America or Afghanistan? But if the Bahamas needed help like Haiti needs help Id want someone to come and help but it wouldnt help us if that force was destroyed as soon as it landed. by cholera or gangs.
Their solution is a restored Haiti. That restoration begins with intelligence and then a plan based on intelligence to dismantle the gangs. That needs to happen yesterday. Then they need an economic solution. What can they offer the world that would see them making liveable wages, manufacturing plants, crops, technology, how long to realization and what financial support do they need in the gap ensuring the money bypasses corrupt officials. What is wrong with black countries and corruption??? They also need a natural disaster plan cuz they are very susceptible to tipping into chaos

so the only stories open for comment is the one that puts Brave Davis in a bad light. Like when Nygard was open for comment but Adrian Gibson was not.
