The next thing is, is the chamber representing all of the business community? Or rather who's interests are they representing? because they came out with a very tepid response this week while this story talks about retailers taking protest action

Ok its really clear now that this was a PR move and no real economic analysis was done. Just a day ago the PM said he wasnt concerned about a major impact on businesses.

Economics is all about how other things are impacted when you do one thing. Heard the question asked multiple times the morning after the speech, "why are people upset", you only ask that question if you have blinders on and no analytical bones in your body.

The real truth is the very people he's said to be helping are the ones who will feel the impact of small businesses hiking prices or small businesses reducing staff.

A major hotel said 2/3 of their staff are minimum wage but they shouldnt feel much impact, we'll see if that proves true. Roberts said he'll feel zero impact, we'll find out in the pricing. I doubt the govt even went as far as calculating the cost to businesses just using something as basic as national insurance data. That would have given them a fairly good estimate across the landscape.

**The increase isnt a bad thing, the bad thing is that they didnt analyze the knock on effects of the increase and whether those things were an acceptable trade off**

Is it "missing" or do they know who's holding it and simply want it returned so they can give a lucrative supplies storage contract to their buddy as opposed to the "*no good*" FNM who had it before?

On Up to $1m of disaster supplies still missing

Ah Lord the country turning into cruise ship city. Someone needs to remember that we sell remoteness, peace and tranquility

The people are definitely corrupt. MOST people vote because they expect to get something of monetary value in return. And they proud to say it! My MP in I get a contract!

I wonder if we'll ever be able to determine if the odd long term effects are from the vaccine or COVID. i suppose the easy answer is how many people with the vaccine got long COVID

It actually doesnt boggle the mind. Criminals go where the quick easy pay off is. They dont care if you Brave Davis, remember? or a tourist

*reach to Silicon Valley*

Draper university **is** physically in silicon valley. I wonder if this is the pitch to the hungry young actress promising a plane ticket to Hollywood. Maybe it's not but too many organizations are popping up feeding off the hunger of people and the new entrepreneurial fad. Add buzz word "crypto" in the mix. Buyer beware

"*Be a Startup Hero in 30 hours. 15 days live online program; 2 hours daily, first hand connections, networking with over 50 Silicon Valley experts and mentors, and entrepreneurs from 30+ countries*"
- one of the Draper university course summaries

While any opportunity to expand knowledge is great, Are these people simply being offered a trip to California to participate in another *SBDC style program* at Draper university? Is this another *become an entrepreneur honey pot*?

"*And **I indicated before that a crisis is something which springs up**, which you’re not necessarily prepared to deal with. But again, as I indicated, it is a more complex problem, a challenge*"

**Do these people have google? Or do they not have fingers?Trumpian doubling down on stupidity again... Wrong, a crisis can result from a gradual build up**. The key ingredient for crisis is it puts a strain on resources. Ask the hospitals, defense force, schools, social services and your immigration officers if this is putting a strain on their as ability to execute their regular function. Then you have a crisis.

**Saying a crisis is something you're not prepared to deal with is also wrong**. How uninformed are we? A patient in cardiac arrest is a crisis. Hospitals deal with that every day** **Crises aren't the illusive unicorn, they simply require strong leadership, immediate, swift and decisive action. None of which we exhibited to allow an illegal structure to grow by 150 acres like we didnt know. Failure to lead.

**Take some advice from that safge old guru Justn Bieber, *Act like you know***
