So many crises have happened since Dorian the eyes of the world are elsewhere, if anyone is to restore the people affected by Jean, Irma, Matthew, Joaquin, Dorian it has to begin with us. We have the funds, we just got 250m from the world bank for COVID and nobody knows where it went. Yet the head woman in charge, tasked with overseeing the project was able to sell an **industrial generator** she bought to power her 3 bedroom house for 16 thousand dollars. And, we still haven't gotten a clear answer on where the generator was purchased even though customs keeps import records of **everything**.

I'm lost, why are they seeking duty reductions? **Wasn't VAT supposed to bring about the elimination of duties?** I'm convinced we're just doing things to follow fashion with literally zero understanding of how the economy works. If they're foolish enough to move to 15% VAT, in 10 years we'll be at 30% VAT, 75% customs duty, 30% income tax and 10% property tax, simply because they lack real knowledge of economics, refuse to include the people who do and are mismanaging every single dollar they collect, and every year the cost of their mismanagement increases exponentially.

This is utterly ridiculous. What are we doing?? Giving persons a post so they can get a nice pension? Why put someone in the seat who has no chance of executing a strategy? Can we please find a strategic thinker allow them to bring in some crack expertise from outside the organization, then pick the best among the force to form a senior team to get a handle on something. Traffic is a good start. Stop with promoting people "we like" or who grill for the party cookout. Please. People are dying needlessly... some from cars

It may be possible that the volume made the difference. At higher volumes the tests were probably cheaper to purchase so the 8 dollars may have covered costs. I cant see them doing the service and absorbing costs of thousands of tourists.

Whats hard to understand is why theyre holding on to this as a revenue generator. Did they expect the pandemic to last forever? There must have been some strategic planning for back to normalcy... right?
