I agree with you on the personal assessment of the motivations. It appeared to me like a grab for the billions in donor funds coming into the country. The ministry otherwise made no sense. I notice the PLP hasnt disbanded it either

**She should have been fired for incompetence "in that role" the next day**. Which manager completes a procurement exercise then tells their boss, well we cant use the equipmemt because it costs too much to set it up. Its such a visionless posture. When you procure goods its ALWAYS a part of a plan. And that plan includes how youre going to get the equipment from the accounting department straight up to use by the customer. The fact that she didnt do that says she was **unqualified** for the role of a disaster manager. Because that one thing is all (well a giant chunk of what) disaster managers do, "logistics".

Homeporting gone and all we had to say was, we gatta clean up the garbage on the streets.

These people appear to get these jobs based on nothing but name recognition, meaning in many cases they're incapable of executing.

A lawyer doesnt necessarily make a good plumber. An engineer doesnt necessarily make a good minister of disaster. We "sometimes" have a workable structure in place and we just blow it up appointing friends and family ill fitted to the role. I note the recent media appointments

Also The speed at which this ministry of disaster materialized and the lack of evidence of any idea of what it would cost was a red flag that plenty people in suits saw a big opportunity to profit handsomely off other people's disaster. This rash charging bull at a red flag behaviour seems to have characterized Minnis whenever millions were on the line. It was uncanny. Almost as if his ability to make money was on the line.
