I wonder if US Customs will demand to be involved in airport freight inspections going forward? No, they cant tell us what to do, but they can certainly threaten to eliminate preclearance for example.
"*Several Cabinet ministers, including Deputy Prime Minister Chester Cooper, Labour Minister Pia Glover Rolle, and National Security Minister Wayne Munroe, have said they are not the politician allegedly involved.*"
So two denials so far of *"making a promise" for use of govt planes and assurance that millions in cash and cocaine could consistently pass through the airport undetected by JDL who handles all airfreight inspection before anybody else*
Deputy PM and Minister of Aviation denies making a promise and Minister of National Security denies making a promise. I'm not sure why Pia Glover Rolle felt she had to declare her innocence, she has no power to order members of the police force to act in a given capacity or authority to commit govt planes.
**Who would have the power?** Certainly the two ministers who've denied making a promise, the PM, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Economic Affairs, the Commissioner but he is not a "high ranking politician". Possibly the PMs Chief Advisor. Maybe the FS but he's also not a politician, the language was very specific, they could have said "official" and raked in more people but they said "politician".
**Not implying any of these are the unnamed politician just that their "role" provides the type of power you'd need to make such a promise and be believed. Foreign investors are fully aware of how things operate here and who can do what**. That's why for regular financial investments they associate themselves with people and accounting and legal firms who can give them direct access to the PM. I cant for example see the Minister of Environment making the promise, he doesn't even have power over Environment. Did he even go to COP26?
Did the PM go to the US Embassy meeting alone?
Now we just need some people to not only deny making the promise, but to deny having "***any** involvement*", *any* secondary role, in a scheme to move narco assets through the Bahamas.
This gentleman managers a private airline(?) The guy investigated for his murder is caught up in a scandal to smuggle cocaine on airplanes. Two degrees of separation, maybe they never meet, but it wouldnt seem ridiculous if they did.
Who would have thought a head of CDU could be investigated for manipulating criminal cases. This town appears to have a seedy underbelly that likely most of us could never fathom.
"*EV Motors alleged that its rival - which has been in the electric vehicle business since 2016 - was motivated by a desire to blunt the competitive threat that its upstart dealership poses.*"
"Competitive threat"????
**To the contrary, the way that this organization is being allowed to gobble up the economy is beyond frightening.**
In the US it would not be allowed to happen. This looks like classic antitrust behaviour and the minister of economic affairs is doing nothing about it. It's like the entire cabinet is asleep and getting fat. Any buck up activity is allowed. The only time they snap awake is when some intl organization exposes massive breaches. And oh "*we're going to do everything we can to restore faith*"
Where is the Minister of Economic Affairs? Is he in the same room where the Commissioner and the Minister of Aviation were for the past 3 years?
I'm almost certain Pindling and Milo Butler would have also been looked at as rabble rousers in their day as they disrupted the house.
But something is just off with Mr Bain. I watched his video regarding the police who had the confrontation with Jobeth and one thing was clear to me, this a money making venture. Clearly. The first thing that happened, the video made you wait for four minutes. That's a minimum youtube watch time ruse. Then for the, I cant say *entire video*, because at some point I got disgusted with the obvious stall tactics, but ceryainly for the length of time I watched, Mr Bain spent 60% of it alternately, fiddling with his phone, looking up in the air, claiming to download documents he could have prepared beforehand... While "a" goal may have been to reveal some *honeypot* news, to "me" the chief objective appeared to be, hook viewers into longer viewing times, because that's youtube dollars.
And the more crazy antics Mr Bain does, the more opportunity for another "wait for it" youtube video.
The entire situation speaks to a general absence of law and order everywhere.
**This is a problem at the *policy* level. A complete failure to govern aviation and armed forces and the persons in charge of those areas should not be allowed to remain in place after such a massive failure.** Clearly they are not suited to implementing policies to ensure the safe and compliant running of the sectors.
The Commissioners seeming inability to correct a single traffic issue is another matter. We are now left to wonder which high ranking official is profiting off chaos. Law is out of order. How can the PM continue to have faith in his and the senior teams leadership? And if the PM does not see anything wrong then we have to start looking at him *funny*.
And we dont need to feel like we in prison to have orderly streets. Does anyone feel like they're in prison when they drive US streets? Do you see police roadblocks everywhere? No. But you know 100%, dont f around here. These people serious.
The PM, Fred Mitchell, Chester Cooper, Wayne Munroe and The Commissioner are *unserious*. The US and every citizen knows it.
**The next shoe to drop will be illegal immigration**. The US takes that as a serious threat. Right around 2021 the US released Adrian Fox who was charged with smuggling Chinese nationals and they said he was *very helpful*, like a canary
