Tribune court report on inquest into police shootings in house in Blair:

*Assistant Commissioner of Police Earl Thompson of the police forensic science section testified yesterday that of the **eight police firearms his lab collected** for testing, six were handguns, and two were rifles.*

*He said **NONE of the weapons matched the ammunition recovered at the scene**, indicating they weren’t fired there*

**IF???** Its already 30 years of police abuse of power too late. Call it "just" the bad apples if you like, but Do something

Does he have a place to live now? Its instructive that he was quite happy with his changed physical appearance. Hopefully this is a case that they follow so truly see if he can turn things around for himself and also hopefully he doesnt have a substance abuse problem, might makes things more difficult, not impossible though.

When I heard this I didnt know what to make of it. Do they mean Finance staffed with accountants, financial analysts and economists, not to mention the highly paid foreign financial consultants, havent been using data for the past 50 years???

I'm still confused.

The Bahamian people are concerned with contract smuggling, that's where people collude to submit overpriced, especially construction and technology contracts, to smuggle money out the treasury. Contracts that should cost 500,000 or less remarkably approved for 5m or more. If we put an aggressive focus on that... 40 contracts is about 200m.

Our politics does seem to attract a large number of the wheeling dealing type. Its notable that he was a sitting MP when he entered into the 1999 deal

Tribune 2017 - *Court of Appeal found Elliot Lockhart QC had failed to inform Clifford Dean, who had been convicted of "drug offences", that he was also the president, director and a beneficial owner of the company seeking to acquire the latter's real estate in a $250,000 deal. Mr Lockhart, who was acting for both vendor and purchaser, was also criticised by an earlier Supreme Court verdict over the same transaction, which found he committed "a breach of fiduciary duty" and violated the Bahamas Bar Association's Code of Professional Conduct for failing to disclose his 'conflict of interest'.*

*That verdict by then-justice Neville Adderley, which was not appealed, found in favour of Mr Dean's argument that Mr Lockhart be barred from representing the other party in the case due to his previous 'conflict of interest'. They were subsequently represented by Harvey Tynes QC at the Court of Appeal.*

*The deal in question also occurred in 1999-2000, when Mr Lockhart was the FNM MP for Exuma and Ragged Island, and Mr Dean one of his constituents.*

In 2018 a video of him circulated where he exhibited unusual behaviour at the Exuma airport later admitting that he'd had one or two drinks.

Considering that this fraud conviction was for a 1999 land deal, not sure how he was in a position to execute another high value land transaction.

Irrespective of the outcome on this case he might need counseling, something isnt right.

How is it that all these developers are able to do construction until the wee hours of the morning?? Where is Environmental Protection?? The Adelaide developer was running till 1AM. How is this possible???
