These explanations are tickling me pink. Each station has a lock-up cell. I remember central downtown Nassau could have anywhere for up to 20 or more prisoners. Southern Police Station was the same way. If you had noticed no plane is moving now to Nassau, so those who are convicted stay in the cell at the station. Then there are those who when to court and cannot get bail for whatever reasons, these are there as well... then there are those who just got arrested...all need to eat, 3 times a day... our taxpayers' money feed thm.. so I buy Paul Rolle explanation. I collected prisoners' meals a million times back in the day... Not sure why other persons are there buying food though.
I will get worst before things pick up. My concern is all the money is going now... I saw that guy got that $14.00 check from NIB and it was ... huummm. But many don't want to the country to open, many want to open, its a crazy situation. I am also afraid for cruise ships. People may wait for a while to get confidence in the industry again. It is scary.
We need to move away from that border thing... i'ts not solving anything, yes opeing the borders was the problem. I suppose they will open it again, there is no money here!!. We will have to try and live with this covid, or die trying
IF they go, only problems who will take it over...Brave? regardless of who wins, there will be no money to squander like the last set of PLP people. Those people around the sporting complex looking for money...this will continue for months ahead. It might be a good time to get out of politics now... it can't be fixed...
We good here in Grand Bahama. Today was as wild as it can get. people scampering for grocery, ATM lines long, but it's not only about Grand Bahama or Nassau or elsewhere individually, it about our country as a whole. When one island gets a new Covid case we all look bad. I'm glad it is starting to turn around slowly for all of us.
