It is a simple solution.. stay ya behind home this weekend and you wouldn't end up paying those monies...bottom line

I watch this story last night with interest. In some cases when the COVID 19 emergency order is broken there is call for compassion, and at times when it's is broken there are calls for resignation... but in all fronts it was broken... I am reminded in the Book of 1 Samuel 15, when saul was rejected as King. His mission was simple, kill every man, woman, child and animal...HE did all of it except the best of the sheep, he saved them and brought them back to sacrifice... you know the story well. Long story short, Samuel told him that obedience is better than sacrifice. My point is why challenge the law or take chances for a good cause and break it and not accept what the penalty is for such cause? Ask Dwayne Sands. I Can't have compassion for anyone who has kill someone because he was drunk and then was caught his excuse was that he was drunk. As an old police officer, we were taught in the police college that ignorance is no excuse. This was those who didn't know better, so for those who do and break the law... well obedience is better than sacrifice..

I'm sure if he left borders open we would all still be screaming on here for him to close it...I am not sure many people understand the magnitude of this thing. We always only look at the Bahamas. Just yesterday Spain came in at 83 on Tuesday, up from 59 on Monday but under 100 for the third day in a row, They happy with those numbers...for us that is alot. But Check out Iran, France, Italy. I sometimes think Bahamains only see things in Gold and red, its so sad. We in Grand Bahamas piss too, We had Dorian to go with this thing, but look at our numbers. Nuff said!!

I wonder if the was the United States and not the Bahamas Gov't, under the same situation, what would her cries be... The government broke from paying out all this money... and people still think they owe them something. This is insane.

There is always a way to fix it... go and open up your island without permission. No island has to stay close, even though they are under the emergency order. I see persons breaking curfew because they feel they should be a lockdown, and they have all the reasons, good ones, of cause they would be consequences. I am sure the PM would address this one for sure in his next address, I don't understand it either, but until he fix it... well you know the rest.

Lock them all up!! funerals are 10 people! Bahamians always have some excuse when the break the law, They no different than those who already been prosecuted and fine!!

I didn't taught that they would use Dr. Sands test hits considering he was ridicule, call to resign, and is still being bash by the masses. They should have thrown those away since they came in illegal...

I agree with you. A good friend of mines was on that flight. His shopping was for 3 days, he ended up staying from March til the flight arrived. He and I were chatting over the course of the lockdown. he sent out a thank you to the government via What's up. I forwarded to our local zns rep here in Freeport, Megan Shepard.

I was Our Lucaya Resort at the Lighthouse Point, where they all stayed yesterday. No one was there of those persons who came in or Friday, they were all sent home to quarantine, It is my guess he checked out negative from them....its weird.

I was at Our Lucaya this morning, everyone who checked in on Friday has already left the hotel so far. No new news on that, perhaps it was negative when they test on this side.
