When the smoke all clears the customer is king. IF he is not happy with a product he should move on from it. I fired BTC 3 years now... Aliv is the time. BTC is private, not like those days when it was bloated. Maybe that 2% percent that Perry got back can help out a bit.
My take is simple, we have over 700 islands and cays... it wouldn't hurt non to do something sensible with a small bit of it. I'm sure we will not die. That project will help the community, except those opposing its plans to help the people, they haven't done nuttin yet.. It's just sitting there, heck use it!
The public will always say that the police cannot investigate their own. I investigated a number of officers over the years when I was with them, Some ended up being fired. The problem is the public is not privy to the police findings and many assume nothing has happen. Check the Police Act, officers are punished for offences all the time. Problem is the public will never know, its internal. They are not dragged in the courts except it is very serious matters
But for the argument... who can investigate the police. Investigations calls for skills... do we import other police services to do it? The Defence Force? the FBI? It will cost money.
"A Coroner’s Court jury unanimously concluded yesterday the 2010 police killing of Walden Mitchell, a former police officer, was a justified homicide."
I just read thatone above a minute ago. It had no place for comments. But this one here has a place for comments All are police killings... might be bias reporting in my opinion. Its best to wait on the coroner's inquest...
Many of those immigration matters are older than 2 years. I see Brent point, cause if the truth be told, we, the citizens will be left holding the bag. Fred is suing for hefty sums of money. There are many cases like that in there, Then Ruby Nottage decides to spread the good word. Maybe we should give this some serious thought before we respond on here. I don't find it to be funny. The Government always passes its bills to the citizens in the form on new taxes, we all know that. . It was a bunch of bobo on previous Ministers over the years not doing due process on those illegal immigrant cases up there. I don't care if it was PLP or FNM immigration ministers.
I imagine for there to be an independent body to investigate the police there has to be new legislation..under the Police Act officers investigate their own.... There was a ton of police shootings in the two previous governments... and this one too. This is the first time I hearing it called corruption...weird.
While I agree with him, it looks really strange to say something like that and when you had a chance to fix it you did nothing...I assure all of you, the police ga shoot plenty more. This not the last police shooting.
