Instead of all this grousing about the PLP start thinking how you can be the solution. Start looking for ways of getting these and the other party crooked cronies out and start finding people in the community who can make a difference in your beautiful island. It has been going downhill for years now. Find new blood who can run your country in a more productive and straight forward way. There are people who can do a much better job. Get out there and get these people elected instead of the sleezy-assed politicians you have now.

Before you all jump to the wrong, nasty and negative conclusions, wait for the facts to be told, for heaven sake.

The driver had a medical issue. It happens unfortunately but in this case, no one was critically injured, and the driver is alive to give the facts!

Not living in Nassau now, I wish someone would take pictures of the granny panties trees so I can see them. I love seeing the real Bahamian ting!

I so agree with you milesair! Religion in the Bahamas especially, as I see it, has been reinvented to suit themselves and the preachers who still believe in fire & brinestone! We have not made our country join the western world in the 21st century. This is how people are controlled especially women who have not had the opportunity to control their own life.

Hosexuality has been around since the time of the Bible and it's not going anywhere. By the same token those of us who defend homosexuality, although are not necessarily of that persuasion. We are people who care about each other, our family and our friends and don't understand the need to bash anyone who happens to be different. Many Bahamians cry foul if there slightest hint of racist (and racism goes beyond white against black) why is ones sexuality anyone elses concern!

So proud of the previous comments. I'm sick to death by the homophobia and outright hatred among the Bahamian people for other people. What does it matter to anyone else what the gender of a couple marrying.

The Bahamian people become holier than thou about homosexuality yet the young girls are out screwing everyone they can, having babies to men who have no intention of raising them, but that's ok! The young men are fu**ing every girl possible and having to or three girls preggers at the same time, but that is also ok. Neither have a clue as to how to feed, cloth, house or care for the children you bring into this world.

A wonderful, loving couple well into adult age marry and you sh*t all over them because they just might be gay!!! Where is the Christianity Bahamians always spout??? Grow up folks, get your head out of the sand and join the real world!!

I recall when the first casino was opened way back in late 60's very early 70's. Bahamians were supposed to avoid ever being taxed because the casino money was to be used to support the islands. Where has this huge bundle of money gone??? Into the pockets of the most corrupt government since Haiti's Papa Doc & Baby Doc. These government officials should be forced out of government, no pension, no severance, no nothing until they pay back every cent they've stolen from their people. I used to think you could not get any worse than Ponder and Kindling. OMG, was I wrong.

People, stand up for yourselves or you will all be living in huts without water and electricity for the rest of your lives!

It's a mystery to me why you allow your government to squander so much money without even batting an eye.

Why no protests over this misuse of your funds when the Bahamian people so desperately need help. With the money paid your elected official your country should have the best roads, the best of electricity and residents homes should be more than adequate. This includes the Family Islands.

I've been going to the Bahamas since 1964 and it boggles my mind just how behind the times this country is. Demand those who have squandered finds should be brought up in charges and made to live in some of the shacks your citizens live in.

Why are we not using ecologically sound methods of dealing with the Zika virus and mosquitos?

Bats eat their weight in mosquitoes each and every day. Why not increase the bat population to deal with this instead of poisoning everything in sight including humans and animals?

One shooting is one too many. Get serious with crime before your beautiful Bahamas becomes a battle ground for thugs and idiots who think they can solve everything with a gun.

Your election is coming up soon. Hold your candidate's "feet to the fire" and get them to do what they say they are going to do.

So many times I hear pastors and followers say, "pray and all will be alright"!

Well, how is that working out for you? The good Lord gave us a brain and wants us to use it, not to rely on HIM to do everything

Politicians stand up and be counted! Instead of putting the money in your pocket, put it where it best helps your people to stop this madness!

Years back, when I was young and working a friend and I visited Nassau four times a year. Our favourite hotel was the B.C. or one of the smaller ones at cable beach if we couldn't get into our first choice. Because the rates were good we would each take an adjoining room so we'd have one to party in and the other to sleep in.
Over about 10 years the prices crawled higher and higher so we shared a room because the single supplement became astronomical . Eventually Nassau price itself right out of our plans and now we go to Cuba.

I am of the group of gals from 1964 that made Nassau famous and a place where all young women wanted to visit. Basil Cooper even made reference to me in one of his first novels.

I have not been back in this century because your prices are incredible, the Bahamian culture is almost lost, the majority of Bahamian young people became abusive to white women and now your young men are killing each other or robbing each other.

Who would want to visit an island like that. My fear is now, the out islands are about to be ruined the same way Nassau was.
Paradise Island is a total waste of time as I see it. if I wanted Vegas I'd visit Vegas not a want to be Vegas.

So much has been lost and the Fat Cats don't give a damn!
