The Meisters have abandoned Treasure Cay, the Minnis Administration abandoned Treasure Cay after many broken promises, and now the new Davis Administration has abandoned Treasure Cay and the residents of North Abaco who are struggling to rebuild their lives and homes. While we have electricity and water now, our sewer system is still not functioning after nearly 2 1/2 years! Officials from Nassau and WSC have visited a number of times but nothing ever happens, even though over 300 homeowners have pledged $320,000 to rebuild the lift stations!!! Per a previous article in the Tribune, the WSC has not accepted the funds. There are literally thousands of homeowners and tourists ready to return to Treasure to spend MONEY to rebuild and vacation. This money goes directly to the permanent Bahamian residents who desperately need the jobs and money created by this economy. These people have been struggling for over two years to rebuild their lives and homes. Is there ANYONE in the Davis Administration willing to help get the sewer infrastructure rebuilt in Treasure? I challenge you to step forward and do what’s right!!
Please Please Please Help Us!!!!! After two long years we still don’t have an operating sewer system in Treasure Cay. While there’s been a lot of “talk” there’s not been any real action! We desperately need it repaired so the 2nd homeowners and tourists can return. Without them we can not make a living. Last word we heard was WSC was holding up progress!
