Sometimes when forced to look myopically at things we need to broaden and deepen our perspective. We are a type of Ukraine. There are disruptions in those areas where US interests are paramount. We know the USA has a certain status quo with the Bahamas, one that has, as we experienced with Blankenship, our arm tightly twisted up our back. Time is short for these political power pieces on the global chess board because they apparently don’t want Trump in.
Watch the the game in play, not one singular piece on the board !

Penny wise pound foolish as the saying goes. Rushin’ out to buy cheap vehicles that will cost more over the little time they have. Better to have bought a hybrid. Better still….save up for the cleaner technologies to come that won’t deplete the planets resources and won’t add to emissions by plugging into a big power plant.

We have seen the global bullies use tactics devoid of law, order, and ethics just to gain the upper hand where they need it in their ply for power. Never underestimate the power they seek to wield and the means they will take towards what appears to be a “neutral” nation, a buffer zone between opposing powers. The war wages. Good vs evil never ends in this life. Wolves come in sheep’s clothing and bleet out their propaganda. Be wise as serpents while meek as doves.

Twocent says...

“…a general absence of law and order…” comes whenever a society, “societies” or social movement takes on a God-less, or all-gods-lead-up-one-mountain, approach and you are left with no gold standard of One Truth. Instead you have people who believe their law, their god, and/or their desires/“rights”, matter more than everything else. They gain their sense of “protection” when they band together in fraternal support with seemingly like-minded people and find that it ends up as a hedonistic chaos of greed, avarice, lies, deceit, selfishness, covetousness, and passions that lead further to theft, murder, extortion, tyranny…..etc. And when you have people whose responsibility it is to make the law, uphold the law, defend according to the law, and adjudicate the law, who worship the owl seen in the Supreme Court, the triangles, stars, “all-seeing-eye, Templar crosses, their cohort, and (most of all) money, law is compromised.

Twocent says...

“….trying to prevent killing..” is also “after the fact”. There is a need or a motive behind every act of violence and the taking of a life. In little Adriel’s case the attacker likely needed to shut her up, and probably needed to stop her from being able to report them. Perhaps there was a hedonistic and sadistic need to punish another person by loss. We could also assume things much darker than that…a dopamine addiction that required the rush of such violence, or even a “spiritual” need to satisfy some “god”. Anyway you look at it…we have a growing need to address our nations psychological and spiritual health ! Since we do not have a healthy society nor the means to heal it, how do we afford protection? Prison where the problems become exacerbated, perpetuated, and sent back into society all the worse for it?

Twocent says...

Defense of the innocent and protection of the vulnerable….these are christian values. If we are prepared to shed blood in war to protect our society we should also see this as our duty in protecting our children from such God-less predators. That said…it is hurt people who hurt people and until we come to grips with some true, deep, and meaningful healing for our society we shall always reap the consequences of our sins.

Three matters need addressing here….one is the measly $50 landing fee that needed to go up to reflect the privilege of having a private jet land here. We undervalue the lure and beauty of our islands and the price people with money are willing to pay to have paradise ! That same lack of self-worth brought the failed anchor resort and cruise ship idea into ply. The other is…that we should not be arrogant in our small nation. These officials are minnows in a pond and because they are all “brothers” in one form or another, have learned a hubris that in a bigger pond will choke not only them but the people they serve. The last matter is that of where the money flows. In a truly proud nation its citizens directly feel the changes that are possible in a country that knows its worth. In a cash-cow bureaucracy the money is siphoned to those who arrogantly believe they deserve it. Talk with stakeholders. Increase fees, but let the money flow to the people, to the nation, where it can do is best job to make us a proud, progressive, and united nation…not into the pockets of politicians and their cohort!

In pedagogy they refer to the inside/interior and outside/exterior memory. In other words, the brain we have and the machine we use. Our continuing reliance on the outside/exterior brain shows just how stupid we are all becoming. Any student who chooses to use the outside/exterior machine rather than their brain is choosing to be a failure in life, regardless of how many exams they pass. Our species is deteriorating. Bad choices, lazy choices = bad input = bad consequences and bad outcomes. It starts with our choices, not rules and laws. Rules and laws are for a failing/failed society.

Twocent says...

Though it was very necessary to update our understanding of mental health and adjust the law respectively, we are still failing our people and have yet to move out of the pharma-take-a-pill era into the 21st century of brain wellness. There are many studies that clearly show our insufficient, and often toxic, diet causes trauma to our gut microbiota and consequently our gut-brain axis; the wrong foods can make us ill, both physically and mentally. Our poor building standards have led to mold and consequently mycotoxin disease of our brain and neurological system, our bad lifestyle choices lead us to impair our own brain function, and even elements in our environment and care have been shown to create serious issues for brain health. Autism, Dementia, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD and more serious diseases are, statistically, on an exponential increase. Did we truly, believe that the measures during Covid, including those manifesting later in clots and inflammation, were never going to take their toll on our society? The WHO, though accountable for much, cannot be held accountable when it is our government in which we naively put our trust. There are so many simple things that can be done to bring beneficial awareness and change, yet we are still being told big Pharma is the answer! Eventually, like the trepanation of the skull to let the evil spirit of headaches out, and electrocution to correct bad behaviour, we shall, I hope, end this Corporate Pharma horror story, see a ban on GMOs and Glyphosate, receive support for healthy domestic agriculture, rely less on profiteering companies, rebuild a foundational knowledge of our bush medicine, restore healthy values and encourage community thoughtfulness, import organic where we lack domestic supply, at reasonable prices, put up posters about the benefits of foods like coleslaw, sauerkraut, kimchi, and piklees, and put up posters that promote better food choices and increase our awareness of nutrition and how it builds our immune system. Decriminalizing mental health is vital, and growing patience for the burden yet to come is more than necessary.
