Tommy Turnquest, Chairman of Bahamasair. Really! Say no more.

Even Tommy's mother (Edith) could often be heard saying her poor son was born clinging to his father's coat tails, but he could never hang on. She often lamented that Tommy's sisters got a lot more of Sir Orville's smarts than he did and literally felt sorry for him.

Just another shining example of Tweedle-Dumb Minnis's inability (unwillingness?) to find and appoint competent individuals to challenging posts.

And while we're at it, why don't we legalize violent crime in order to prevent so many of our young men and women from being locked up behind bars. LMAO

> This, according to Dr Minnis, is a part of the government’s New Year resolution for 2020.

>“…I have seven more years (left in office)… What I’m concentrating now is to close the gap of inequality to allow more of the poor and the indigent to share in the wealth,” he told reporters.

The country will not be able to withstand even a few more years of Tweedle-Dumb Minnis's Robin Hood socialist mentality which defines governing as taking from Peter to give to Paul. He's the most incompetent PM we've ever had and is absolutely clueless as to how to go about creating a business environment conducive to the creation of new wealth and private sector jobs. His socialist, actually borderline communist, mentality has caused our local private sector economy to contract significantly while he and his cronies cavort with foreign interests for their handsome supper. Heaven help us all if he's still PM when the U.S. goes into it next major recessionary period.

Agree. His sense of entitlement really says all there is to say about him.

Most of these jewellerly retailers sold nearly all of their inventory that was priced for sale at about $1,400 or less. Can't help but wonder what that must mean for our economy in terms of all the 'Xmas shopping funds' Tweedle-Dumb Minnis and Tweedle-Dee Turnquest recently handed out to government employees. LMAO

Government and URCA will lose control of their ability to control the pricing of electricity once the Rate 'Increase' Bonds are issued. This is because the contractual terms of the bonds will require BPL to set its electricity prices high enough to generate whatever cash flow amounts are needed from revenues in order to pay the interest and principal amounts due to the bond holders as and when they come due for payment.

For decades now BPL/BEC has incurred signficant annual operating losses due to waste, fraud and mismanagement. All of that will of course remain after the Rate 'Increase' Bonds are issued, with BPL having the added burden of bearing the outrageously high interest costs that will need to be paid to the bond holders. Many residential and commercial consumers are simply going to find they can no longer afford the cost of electricity. Brace yourselves. The capital of the Bahamas is about to become as dark at night as the capital of North Korea.
