The Central Bank knows full well that our country's national debt is much greater than $8.3 billion. They wrongfully choose, at the behest of the very deceitful and corrupt Minnis-led FNM government, not to include in their calculation unfunded civil service pension entitlements, the unfunded obligations of the national insurance fund, the government guaranteed obligations of loss making state owned enterprises and special purpose vehicles, etc., etc., etc. With the correct inclusion of all of these wrongfully excluded amounts, our country's national debt totals well in excess of $12 billion today. That equates to $100,000 for each and every working Bahamian, assuming there are 120,000 working Bahamians. And keep in mind that at least 10% of working Bahamians are on the government's payroll in one way or another, in non-producing jobs that create no real wealth to help pay down the national debt. All of this is truly frightening!

The irony here is that the IDB itself is perhaps the largest single contributor to the financial mess that our country is in today, including the creation of the great chasm that exists between the select few politically connected "Haves" and the vast majority of "Have Nots". The IDB as an international lending organization controlled by certain developed countries is mandated to conspire with corrupt government officials of lesser developed countries for the purpose of running their smaller economies into the ground so that foreign vultures from the developed countries that control the IDB may acquire national assets of value at bargain basement (fire sale) prices.

So much for Darville's previous unusual cozy relationship with Statoil/Equinor. Perhaps the envelope he recently got did not contain what he had hoped to get.

Wow! Absolutely no mention by Melanie Roach of the debris removal costs incurred to date. No compunction whatsoever to account to Bahamian taxpayers for the spending of their tax dollars. Such is her arrogance!

The drone shown in The Trib's photo cannot possibly be anything like the 55 drones government has purportedly purchased for a total contract price of $17 million. The drone shown and the command control system to operate it costs less than $8,000 per drone. $8,000 x 55 drones = $440,000, less than half a million dollars and nowhere near $17 million. Hello Houston, we have a problem!

Thanks. I should have clarified that our corrupt tweedle-dumb Minnis is the Bernie Sanders type of socialist, i.e. he's entitled to be amongst the select few "Haves" as a multi-millionaire, but the vast majority of the rest of us must be amongst his plebes as the "Have Nots".

There are many well known extremely violent areas of New Providence that even our police officers refuse to patrol at night for fear of losing their life. And just think of all the children being born to mothers living in these areas who spend most of their child bearing years from an early age being pregnant. These are the breeding grounds of tomorrow's criminals, as if we don't have enough of them today.
