They cry plenty for their own, but not nearly enough for all of ours.

It's as if they presumptiously think periodically imparting their own views on certain medical issues tied to their personal experience with pain and suffering from the death of one of their own will somehow make it easier for the rest of us to deal with such matters. Oh well, it is what it is and they own a newspaper with which to do it.

The many policies of the corrupt Minnis-led FNM government that wrongfully favour illegal Haitian aliens over 'true' Bahamians are the explosive catalyst for all of this great hatred that now exists in our society. Minnis and his cabinet members have repeatedly betrayed and all but forgotten the 'true' Bahamian people!

> But, speaking at yesterday’s press conference, contractor at Brickell Management Group Philip Robinson said he is hoping to have the domes completed before the deadline, adding that the first dome structure in the Spring City was erected last weekend.

Finally an admission that the very corrupt and racketeering numbers boss (thug) Sebas Bastian, who controls the Brickell Management Group, is behind the "Ville du Dome" venture as it is known in northern Haiti. And yes, the Domes alone may cost $6.4 million but what about the many many millions of dollars more that are being spent (literally squandered) to erect them and provide them with electricity and running potable water. What a massive fraud and flaming charade all of this foolishness is. Yes indeed, Tweedle Dumb Minnis and Tweedle Dee Turnquest are about as corrupt as corrupt can be. Much like their favoured crony and thug, Sebas Bastian.

Persons known to be closely associated with the Brickell Management Group and who have served and may still be serving on its board of directors include Sebastian Bastian, Paul Major, Keith Major, Wesley Bastian, Alfred Sears, Ed Fields, Felix Stubbs, Leon Williams and Cassius Stuart. What a joke!

Between themselves, Tweedle Dumb Minnis and Tweedle Dee Turnquest have zero discipline and business sense. They have clearly articulated their very warped idea of how a country should be governed as evidenced by:

1) Their great propensity to spend willy nilly, borrow and tax;

2) Their great inclination to cut backroom deals with foreign interests while serving up to them on a platter the very best assets that our country has to offer;

3) Their great belief that grossly bloated headcounts within the government sector, including government controlled enterprises, helps preserve their political power;

4) Their great willingness to rob wealthier Peter in order to outright give to poorer Paul as a means of masking their failure to introduce and implement policies that create new private sector wealth with decent paying jobs;

5) Their great and incessant pre-occupation with "buying" votes anyway that they can, but always at the expense of the diminishing number of taxpayers who are still able and willing to pay their taxes; and

6) Their great acceptance of the huge chasm between the diminishing number of "haves" and the ever growing vast majority of "have nots".

Make no mistake about it: This warped idea of governing by Tweedle Dumb Minnis and Tweedle Dee Turnquest is a sure fire recipe for the creation of a failed state and squalid existence for the vast majority of Bahamians.

Your number for the size of the civil work force is grossly understated and would be many many thousands more with the inclusion of the headcounts of all the government controlled enterprises. That aside though, it might please you to know I won't be reading and commenting on anymore of your posts because you so obviously represent the very worst that is still able to walk on two legs in our country today. Ciao.

@Economist you must be a well paid voice for Red China's interests at the expense of the interests of the Bahamian people.

Joining the WTO would stop absolutely nothing you speak of and would end up doing much more harm than good for our country and its people.

Why should the Bahamas ever want to join a well known bullying club of exporters whose rules are constantly being changed by the favoured few big countries to favour only themselves at the expense of the interests of the people of smaller countries like ours?

> Minnis said: “We feel that the wealthy, the rich individuals, regardless of the outcome, they would be able to survive and protect themselves. And we would still need them to help generate jobs, employment…

>“But we would do all we can to protect that grouping that needs protection, and that is the poor and marginalised. So, regardless of what happened, policies will be there to ensure their protection.”

These are the words of a self-confessed corrupt communist who, because of his warped mindset, incomptence and inability to govern, must resort to redistributing the wealth of others, except of course the corrupt political elite and their equally corrupt cronies.

The corrupt Minnis-led FNM government has failed to introduce and implement policies for the creation of well-paying private sector jobs that would create new wealth for all Bahamians to enjoy and share in. Instead, Tweedle Dumb Minnis and Tweedle Dee Turnquest only know how to rob Peter to give to Paul in an effort to "buy" votes as they themselves go about "selling" the best that the Bahamas has to offer to foreign interests by way of non-transparent back-room deals.

It's the back and forth plp - fnm - plp - fnm - plp - fnm - plp - fnm pendulum that has enslaved the vast majority of Bahamians and portends the Bahamas becoming a failed state in the not too distant future.

These two political parties are corrupt to the core and beyond rehabilitation. The survival of the Bahamas and its people is now very much contingent on Bahamian voters recognizing and accepting that the PLP and FNM political parties should be treated as extinct and never again be allowed to take the reigns of government.

@bogart is right. Enjoy your $1,400 sheeprunner12 ........ it's a reward from the corrupt Minnis-led FNM government for your role as a government employee in making life so miserable for us private citizens.
