What else is new?! There are many 'true' Bahamian mothers and fathers who have experienced countless instances of their young children not receiving vital medications because of serious shortages caused by our public healthcare system simply being overwhelmed by illegal aliens.
Plenty of lip service by Minnis and Bethel but where are the weekly deportation flights to Haiti necessary to free ourselves of the many thousands of illegal Haitian aliens???!!!
And while Minnis and Bethel are taking their sweet time deporting illegal Haitain aliens, many hundreds more are arriving in the Bahamas each week to take advantage of the very illegal regularization process that is has been ongoing for weeks now whereby our corrupt government has mandated the immigration department to give a residency permit of one kind or another to every single illegal Haitain alien that shows up at their doors.
Sadly fellow 'true' Bahamians, we have been getting nothing but "double speak" from the likes of Minnis, Bethel, Henfield, Johnson and Campbell in an effort to appease us. These diabolical politicians are obviously not walking their own talk, but rather working hard behind the scenes to grant residency status of one kind or another to the many thousands of illegal Haitian aliens who have been sucking heavily on our economy for decades now.
The only illegal Haitian aliens our government has deported since Hurricane Dorian are those known to have committed criminal offenses either while illegally here in the Bahamas or before they illegally arrived here from Haiti. We are once again being duped by our very own government that prefers to listen to the human rights groups and the very foolish likes of the clergy leadership of the Anglican and Cathoilic churches in the Bahamas. We are under seige and none of these idiots are doing a damn thing but giving the invasion plenty of lip service.
You can't be talking about the same Carey Leonard many of us have come to know over the years. And how do you like the job our financial sector did in competing against the taxing authorities of the OECD countries on their very uneven palying field with goal posts moving against the Bahamas at all times? Moral of the story....tell all of these international organizations with their evil agendas to go fly a kite.
You obviously believe you will somehow benefit from the Bahamas joining the WTO whereas the vast majority of Bahamians know they would be on the losing end in a very big way.
When it comes to our government's gross mishandling of all aspects of the Dorian catastrophe, Minnis will make sure anyone and everyone but himself is held accountable and, if need be, thrown under the bus.
Western Atlantic's medical school business model will be no different than Ross University's medical school business model. In fact the CEO of Western Atlantic who sign the Heads of Agreement is (or was until recently) the Vice-Dean of Ross university's school of medicine.
These third rate medical schools are run by astute businessmen and lawyers in the U.S. who have realized that a lucrative niche market exists among third world countries in the Caribbean that cannot retain, attract or afford first rate medical doctors who have trained at better known and better resourced medical schools in the developed countries. The promoters and organizors of these third rate medical schools make out like bandits because they know just how desperate governments in the Caribbean are for healthcare resources and that these third world governments will actually fund their medical school programs and provide their medical students with generous scholarships.
It's a win-win situation for the desperate Caribbean country governments and the greedy promoters and organizors of the third rate medical schools because the graduates are literally trapped in the Caribbean, i.e. unqualified to practice medicine in the more lucrutive market places in the developed countries. The losers are the graduates who think they are qualified medical doctors and the patients throughout the Caribbean that they may come to treat for a serious ailment. Oh well, it is what it is.
And past PLP and FNM governments alike bear responsibility for turning a blind eye to the invasion of the Bahamas over the past five decades by overwhelming numbers of illegal Haitain aliens.
Typical Haitian rant designed to inject racism to suit their cause. But that tired old racism card has been played way too many times (even by our own corrupt Bahamian policians) and we ain't falling for it anymore. And in case most illegal Haitain aliens haven't noticed, the vast majority of us Bahamians are black - not white, and we've had majority rule since 1967. We just don't want to end up being ruled by illegal Haitian aliens who have invaded our country in overwhelming unsustainable numbers and who fraudulently obtain official papers from our corrupt immigration officials and other government officials. And once here, the illegal Haitan alien males buy a Bahamian wife of convenience to get their papers while the illegal Haitian alien females go about propagating like there's no tomorrow. we've had enough - the bahamas belongs to us bahamians and not you haitians. and it won"t do you any good to go cry to the likes of the u.n. human rights council, bahamas rights, amnesty international, etc. because we bahamians have had enough of all of those worthless organizations that could not care any less about bahamians if they tried. only bahamians can be trusted to look out for the interests of bahamians when it comes to retaining their heritage, culture, standard of living and overall quality of life. end of story!
