All the re-imagining in the world won't address the grave issues for our country associated with the foreign owned cruise ship industry.

I sense most Bahamians don't live in the same type of plush cave you seem to inhabit. Many Bahamians have cabin fever bordering on insanity as a result of the total lockdowns.

I'm fortunate to be a Bahamian in good health but 2 out of 5 Americans, and probably 3 out of 5 Bahamians, are either obese or morbidly obese with breathing issues of one kind or another. All I can say is your un-named state must have a 'whacko' governor.

Government has a very lousy track record of running its own affairs even in the best of times. Therefore government, especially the Minnis-led FNM government, is in no position to tell business owners how to go about managing their affairs at a time of crisis, period! Minnis should know better and his nose out of places that it doesn't belong.

Masks of any kind are not the answer to the Red China Virus. It's likely more than a third of the population on New Providence has already been infected, most of whom showed only mild symptoms or were asymptomatic throughout the period of their infection. Frequent and vigorous washing of hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after being out in public, keeping your hands away from your face and practicing social distancing as much as possible are the key measures for protecting yourself and others around you.

Government should be making sure the public has access to soaps, cleansers, hand sanitizers, toilet paper, paper towels/knapkins, tissue paper, etc. by ensuring the supply chain for these items is free of all customs duties and fees of every kind with relaxed import regulations, and measures to prevent the hoarding of these products by panic-type buyers and those seeking to game the system for price gouging purposes.

This is another shining example of the height of lunacy throughout the entire Minnis-led FNM government. It's bad enough Minnis has yet to cut the pay of government employees, but it's absolutely shockingly pathetic that he has failed to order the temporary cessation of any and all promotions at all levels of the civil workforce. What Commissioner Rolle has done here shows a a complete lack of common sense and zero sensitivity on his part to the economic woes of our country and its people at this time. Rolle is obviously no different than his brain-dead predecessor Ferguson, and both of them were hand picked by Minnis which speaks volumes about his own lack of sound judgement. How on earth could these promotions possible be justified at a time when when so many Bahamians in the private sector have been laid-off and may well not be re-employed?! This is truly cruel on the part of Rolle!! And if Minnis does not quickly act to rescind these two promotions, then he too is most cruel.

And do it without taxpayer support which is the way it was done for decades before corruption took hold of even that most festive social event.

Nowhere in the US are masks mandatory for those who experience breathing difficulties when their mouth and/or nose is covered....and that's many people as Andrew Cuomo - Governor of NY - found out and then quickly had to make the wearing of masks optional for such persons.

You're clearly not a civil libertarian and totally blind to the really worrisome issues involved here.

The price of a barrel of oil nearly dipped below $4 today; less than the average price of a cup of coffee from Starbucks. Even bottled water per gallon costs much more! Yet Sir Snake still has us all paying the Shell Bahamas/FOCAL group that he controls a ridiculously high price per gallon at the gas pumps. Nothing but insatiable greed of the worst kind!
