> “What I will say is that we are negotiating with these businesses,” Mr Rolle said. “This process will really expose businesses that have not been forthright in making payments to NIB, but this is a time where we can negotiate with those businesses, come up with arrangements and get things done.”
Brensil Rolle is even too dumb to realize that the only two things being exposed here is (1) government's failure to properly enforce the laws relating to NIB's receivables from delinquent employers as well as (2) his own stupidity. Rolle is an incompetent buffoon of the highest order.....right up there with directionless Minnis.
The very greedy insurers are naturally upset that their license to steal will not yield the super profits they've grown accustomed to receiving by royally shafting policyholders one way or another.
Now maybe the ideal time for government to think more about moving towards a single payer universal healthcare system.
A corrupt government never wastes a 'good' crisis in which the people governed are panic stricken. NIB has been technically insolvent for sometime now with cash outflows exceeding cash inflows. It would not be the least bit surprising if the corrupt Minnis-led FNM government now very deliberately lets NIB liquidate whatever assets it can to fund a flood of benefit payments, mainly to loyal government supporters, so that the death of this Ponzi scheme can then be blamed on the Red China Virus.
Someone should ask the Director of NIB when was the last time the Board of NIB submitted audited financial statements of NIB to the House of Assembly and Public Accounts Committee, and for which financial year-end? Incidentally, when was the last independent professional actuarial valuation report done for NIB? That report too should be submitted to the HOA and PAC. Minnis certainly will not answer these questions.....he's just bad as Christie and Ingraham were...actually, more likely much worse!
There you go again.....always trying to play that tired 'ole race card. You clearly would be most surprised at my complexion. And you obviously do not appreciate the significance of the point I made in the last sentence of my post above.
Many are saying alcohol has turned what was left of Bethel's small brain into mush. Those very heavy bags always under his eyes are certainly a very telling sign. One might be able to safely bet on what he stocked-up on to ride out the Red China Virus crisis. Some even worry he's liable to go berserk if runs out of his favourite fuel before certain stores are allowed to re-open and re-commence business.
Shameless Shane and No Good Frank Smith must have felt quite secure knowing that Bethel had oversight of their prosecutions that ended up in acquittals and much mud over Minnis's face with Bahamian taxpayers to bear the financial consequences of Minnis and Bethel's defeat. Not a pretty picture at all!
@SP - These are all good questions for your Supreme Ruler but you don't see him manning up like your nemesis President Trump who daily gives lengthy detailed press briefings immediately followed by even lengthier Q&A sessions in which Trump takes the lead role in responding to difficult but necessary questions put to him and his expert medical advisors by mainly hostile members of the news media.
Contrast President Trump with your own Supreme Ruler, who happens to also be a medical doctor, who seems not at all comfortable standing on his own two feet daily in front of the Bahamian news media and addressing important questions about covid-19 and his 'safety' orders to the Bahamian people.
The stark contrast between Minnis and Trump in leadership ability is quite telling and, frankly, now very scary for the Bahamian people.
