The letter above wreaks of Red Chinese misinformation and propaganda that is sprouting up everywhere. Thankfully President Trump has exposed the ruthless Xi Jinping led communist regime for what it truly is - nothing but the most inhumane government on the planet, yes, even worse than North Korea.
The evil Xi-led communist regime will never reveal the number of deaths that it caused in Wuhan in a most brutal effort to save face to the rest of the world. They created and unleashed this Red China Virus on their own people and the rest of the world as part of an evil global experiment aimed at weakening the economies of the western democracies and destroying all of the freedoms associated with democracy that they hate so very much.
Fortunately it is now commonly known that Red China has infiltrated and poisoned the key leadership positions within most of the globalist organizations that are loaded with elitist bureaucrats who are all too easily bribed, in particular the United Nations (UN) and the World Health Organization (WHO). President Trump will now be working over-time to cut-off all of Red China's tentacles throughout the US, especially in leading research and development centres of every kind within American colleges/universities and US controlled corporations. The sleeping lion has finally been awakened and the dastardly red dragon will be no match for it in the long run.
>"Also the Prime Minister and Government deserves genuine praise for closing traffic from China and Italy so early. That may have saved countless lives."
How can you say that @Entrepreneur? Surely not with a straight face!
Try as you may, most Bahamians will not fall for your rather feeble and transparent effort to rewrite history. When it comes to life-saving containment measures, most of us already know the Minnis-led FNM government did much too little, much too late.
Don't under estimate the self-interest of a corrupt government. It is after all most difficult to enjoy the fruits of corruption associated with political power in an essentially dead economy. And it will be almost impossible for the economy to be revived if it remains shutdown for too much longer. You obviously one of those who doesn't believe the cure for the problem could indeed be worse than the problem itself.
Right you are @Dawes. The cartel of insurance companies have all gotten together with their lawyers and agreed that a pandemic like the Red China Virus is an uninsured (uninsurable) act of God.
Let's just call a spade a spade. All governments since NIB was established (including the current one) have quite literally raped, pillaged and plundered it. NIB has been operated for decades as a Ponzi scheme....but now that the cash outflows greatly exceed the cash inflows, and with no ability to change this situation by increasing the 'payroll tax' levied on participants and their employers (after all, blood cannot be had from a bone dry stone), NIB is technically insolvent with no means of staying afloat for too much longer. Without government taking on even more unsustainable national debt to fill the gaping NIB financial deficiency and thereby turning over control of our country to either Red China or the IMF as the only lenders of last resort, NIB is for all intents and purposes a sunk ship unable to meet its future obligations to the many thousands of Bahamians who have been paying into it thinking it would provide them with an important source of retirement income when they need it most. Oh well, it is what it is.
In other words, in exchange for their kindness and generosity shown to borrowers, the Central Bank will ease capital maintenance requirements thereby compomising the financial strength normally required to be maintained by the commercial banks. This may not be a good thing at this stage of the economic crisis caused by the Red China Virus.
