First of all the DNA has always been much more of a Personality Cult centred around Branville Mc Cartney than a viable Political Party.

Why would the "forty or more men and women" he needs to make his party viable, consider joining the DNA, where they would be subjected to control, by an unelected seatless leader, leading a seatless party, comprised of individuals who we do not know, and from whom we never hear?

McCartney once had a vote in the HOA and therefore a voice, but instead of working within the FNM to make the party better, he chose to "flounce off" to form his own party, like a spoiled brat, when he realised he could not get his own way! That caused the FNM to lose the last election, and he bears a large part of the responsibility for the mess the country is currently in!!!! Many voters, will NEVER forgive him for this!!

His actions in forming the DNA showed poor judgement!!....he was dead wrong in thinking he could become a political force to be reckoned with!! and the last election left him with no voice in the HOA, and left him in charge of a party that has had to stand on the sidelines of the political process for the past 3.5 years!! What a colossal, abject failure he has proved to be!!

Unless in his egotistical mind he thinks, that him causing HAI and the FNM to lose, represents in some way a victory for himself!!! ...and too bad for our country that has been saddled with the Corrupt and incompetent PLP government for the past 3.5 years.!

Why would the forty able souls he needs to be relevant, possibly jump on his DNA band wagon, when he has so obviously shown himself to be immature, lacking in good political judgement and obviously lacking in self discipline, and when he so obviously is unable to be an honorable team member! We cannot tolerate any more "it's all about me", egotistic and selfish leaders!!!

The only reason we still see his face in the papers is that voters are grasping at straws, as you seem to be doing!

Voters in this country must face reality! ...only the FNM has the experience, organization, boots on the ground, financially capability and the track record that makes it a viable replacement to the dreadful PLP government!

The FNM is the only viable alternate to the PLP; everyone who opposes the PLP government must swallow their pride, bottle up their ego and re-join team FNM and then, whether or not they have brilliant leader, whether or not they have perfected their message, whether or not they are exciting, visionary, transformative, all embracing, or not, they must commit to them and work as hard as they are able to get them elected, because like it or not,

the fnm are the only viable alternative to our present government!!

I do not think the Liquidators have the power to decide to stop the U.K. Court action. If Baha Mar is wrestled away from Izmirilian, the damages awarded by the UK Court would help offset his lost investment and would help his case, if he decides to sue The Bahamas government.

What are Sarkis' options?

1. Walk away from $800 million and 13 years of blood, sweat and tears. Huge loss, financially, emotionally and morally. I doubt whether throwing in the towel is part of his nature!

2. Fight tooth and nail, in all available courts, however much it costs, and thereby put Baha Mar into " mothballs" until after the next election. With the hope that the next government may allow him to get fair treatment re CCA. Expensive!! Millions more dollars would be at risk!

3. Agree to a HUGE compromise and re-enter a deal with his nemesis, CCA, in the hope that, however unpleasant thus might be, he might hang on to some of his equity. Eating humble pie while the development is completed and then facing the impossible challenge of realizing a return on a $4.5 billion investment that cannot generate sufficient profits to pay the interest on the loans to the cimexb !! Not really an option!!

If I was in his position I would choose option 2, up to, and including, suing The Bahamas government collectively, members of the Cabinet individually, and CCA for the entire cost of his investment in Baha Mar, and then do all I could to facilitate the removal of this corrupt PLP government at the next General Election by helping bankroll the opposition party(s).

Capital punishment is in full effect, or perhaps it should be called Capital Retaliation. They shoot one of ours, we shoot one ( or two) of theirs! Tit for tat, a life for a life!

Trouble is how will this ever end? The murderers in our midst have no regrets, they live fast and loose and many have scant hopes of living a long and fruitful life. Certain individuals may repent and mend their wicked ways, but there are plenty more young men "waiting in the wings", eager to " earn their stripes" and prove how " worthy" they are by ending a rivals life.

I wonder whether or not the deadlock over the Baha Mar debacle will be resolved before the next election and how much of an election issue it will prove to be? If litigation lasts as long as some are predicting, costs will pile up and a satisfactory R.O.I. will never be achieved. Hence the plan to "slim down" the Baha Mar equity in the thwarted Chapter 11 Recovery Plan.

In the final analysis, "winning" the Baha Mar Battle may not be about dollars and sense, but rather all about personal pride, principles, and the determination not to get shafted....at any cost! ............It may well be a long and expensive battle!

This is only Round 1 in a fifteen round fight. Waiting for Baha Mar's official response.

Hope this coming election will be supervised by outside "scrutinizers" so that, this time, the election will be fair and democratic!

The PLP have changed. In the sixties thay had a vision and a mission statement that aligned with righteousness, truth and lofty ideals. Not so today. They have degenerated. They have foundered on the rocks of greed, corruption and self interest.

They have outlived their usefulness and no longer adhere to the principles and ideals that once made them great. They are no longer appropriate or needed for a modern evolving Bahamaland.

They should be dismissed, banished and dispensed with... this time permanently, before their rottenness irrevocably stunts and mires our once proud heritage.
