If the parole system is to be implemented, one can only hope and pray that the victims of crimes are given the necessary notice to have their say as to why such criminals should not be released into society. The reason for the parole system cannot be to make it less expensive for the government to maintain the prison. The safety of victims of crimes should be the paramount concerns before a convicted criminal is released back into society.
Pride certainly goeth before a fall. The MP has been very prideful despite the controversial position he is in. One could only postulate that it is because that first situation was not dealt with how it should and remains an open investigation the MP was further boosted to react in this manner.
This is what happens when you don't stop while you're ahead.
A Haitian solution is needed once and for all. Look at the past when the USA and Brazil have had missions to assist Haiti. Clearly those didn't work because look at where Haiti is today. The people themselves have to own the solution. No country wants to go in there and sacrifice lives when in 5 years time Haiti will be back in the same predicament.
A lot of young persons are educated and qualified, but their skills and talents aren't respected in the civil service. It takes years sometimes decades to get confirmed so those who take up employment in the service don't stay for very long. The benefits in the private sector are much more attractive and I wouldn't talk about overseas.
Mr. PM, what does the Government intend to do to bring salaries and benefits in the service up to par with its private sector counterpart?

Really? At 38 he is a grown man. These statements by the Minister are very misleading.
