Try and pick the better Govetnment for 2022. Is it the PLP? The DNA? Or the FNM? Frying pan, fire, or furnace. We are doomed!

There was another funeral on Nassau Street on Sept. 17 that had many in attendance. Senior officers were visible both inside the grave yard and outside. Obviously over the ten person limit.

He is hopeful that the smaller hotels will re-open. For God's sake, has the government not spoken to them and determined this already. Making an announcement that you are opening for visitors (albeit a small amount due to all the restrictions), without first confirming that there will be places for them to stay, is a sure way to further reduce our chances of rebounding ever. So now what? You announce worldwide that you can visit, but you won't have living accomodations? For real?

Surely the Minister can not be referring to this proposed border opening on Oct. 15, as being an economical stimulus large enough to eliminate the need for food, and other assistance. It is naive to think that we will have any tourist influx when, there is a negative covid test requirement; visitors are required to quarantine for fourteen days; there are no major resorts opening; and there are no activities such as tours, watersports, clubs, and casino's operating. There will be no cruise visitors until 2021 and our air arrivals will not even warrant the opening of one major resort. If the assistance discontinuation is being predicated around a tourist revenue rebound, there will be many hungry Bahamians. This type of statement is nonsensical.

My condolences to you and your family on the loss of your Mother. May her soul rest in peace.

Agree with your sentiments Sir. When it comes to helping the Bahamians who are trying to get a business started, Government departments frustrate you to the point of giving up. This is sad.

As a way of generating some revenue, the government may wish to facilitate the pending real estate transactions that are awaiting relative government departments processing legal documents. Foreign investment board approval is needed for some of these transactions, as well. There are millions of dollars of real estate under sales agreements, which could generate considerable vat revenue.

Another cover up. This bridge has been compromised for years. You dont need to be an engineer to see that the rebar in the concrete is rusting and expanding, resulting in structural cracks. Why must we always try and justify our lack of action by blaming it on some one else?

Lol!! I am obeying all his laws, and he locked me down, instead of locking the law breakers up. What a travesty of justice this is. Get ready for real chaos when the food stores and water depots open, for those of us who live till then.

Find it hard to believe this explanation. If making food for prisoners, the store should stay locked until pickup time. And then open for admittance of those collecting meals for delivery. Your report describes a restaurant open to the public for business.
