I just today learned of the Death of Tim. We called him mostly by his knickname Chavez.
During the time he lived in Drayton Valley Alberta, he made countless friends and was a fixture in Alberta's Dirt Track racing community. There was a small group of friends who worked together to make our little local track into real show. He was at the very center of this, his love of racing, his unflagging enthusiasm and good natured humor often kept us going through some trying conditions. Bad weather and long hours of slogging through mud to meet impossible deadlines. He was always there with his trademark crooked smile and offbeat humor, keeping morale high.
